Angels watch these Mountains

Why? Why did she have to find herself on a moutain? Out of all the places here in this place. She could be on the beach! The beach sounded great. Water lapping at her feet, the sand between her toes, the sun shining on her...Nope. She wasn't there. She was at the foot of a mountain. And mountains and beachs where oposites. Polar opposites. Luckly, she wasn't far up only at the the foot of the thing, where main rocks great and small took root.

Her feet felt sore from walking over the uneven and she was grateful that she had loafers on her feet and not flip flops. The wind ruffled her hair sending locks of gold masking her face. With annoyance she threw her hair back. It was getting a little chilly and she was only wearing a thin top and undershirt benath. She turned her attention towards the mountain. It was very high and already clouds covered the peak. It would be some feat if she made it all the way up they. Bragging rights included.

She giggled to herself. Who would she brag to anyways? This place was very very empty and she had met no one, animal or human. She pulled herself off the rock that she had been sitting on. Slowly she began walking up the side. She knew she would never get to the top, but she could get somewhere. She took a deep breath and began her trek.

"Ohhhfuck it's freezing."

Zeke said under his breath as his teeth chattered together. So there he was, perched on a boulder frozen to the mountain looked down at the scenery with only a light t-shirt and jeans for clothes. With the wind seeming to be angry, it attacked his light-weight hair and sent it flying in a whirlwind. He squinted his eyes from the bitter wind biting with it's cold, cold fangs at them. He was just about to start descending down the mountain until he saw something starting to climb up. By it's movements, it looked like a human; and it probably was. A toothless smile stretched across his lips as he caught the long hair blowing in the wind, and it was most certainly a girl. And this time, he wouldn't be an ass to her; like he was to the other two, and boy was that a mess.

He planned to hide behind a boulder and then.. scare her by sounding like a wolf or something. Yeah, that sounded good. He positioned himself behind a good over-sized rock and patiently waited for the pretty little girl to crawl her way into a wee little joke. As the boy waited, his enture body started to shiver like mad. He would definitely die if she didn't get her butt up here soon. He compromised by pulling his arms insdie his shirt and pulling his knees up to his chest to retain at least some body heat.

As she continued her way up the step mountain, a slight burning came into her legs. The moutain was getting higher and higher and it was obiviously it was taking its tole on Paige. Her breath was becoming quicker. Maybe climbing the mountain wasn't one of her greatest ideas. No she couldn't give up. She took a few more paces until she came upon a rock. It would be best if she simply took a break. she gripped the rock then hualed her body unto it. Already she was feeling so much better. She gazed up at the sky and took a look at her surroundings. She got to her feet and stood gazing at her surrondings.

The sky was very blue and thin stripes of clouds layed on the blue. She was feeling good. This excrise was good for her and the cold wasn't getting to her because she was slightly sweating. The cold was the last thing on her mind. "Echo!" She shouted loudly as she heard it echo throughout the mountain. She always wanted to do that. She was very unaware of the boy that took cover from the same rock that she was standing on. This would soon get very intresting.

She stood there a few more moments and the chilly wind reached her, reminding her where she was and what the temperture outside really was. She would have to get a move on it again if she wanted to remain hot from the climb and not let the cold get to her. It was a bit riskey, there was surly animals on this moutain, and she didn't want to injure herself, espcially on a mountain. It could put her in more danger than normal.

How did Aurora get over here? Yesterday she was in a rain forest, and now here she was in a mountain. Yes, this place was a little weird. Aurora giggled as she looked around to see where she was. The scenery was just what you thought of for a mountain, there were cliffs, and there was snow. Aurora had never seen a mountain before, so this was something new for her. So far she had actually done a lot of things she had never done before. She had never been to a rain forest, let alone dream of one, and yesterday she had explored it like it was her backyard. Oh, and lets not forget her lovely Shiya. Oh no, Shiya was probably the best thing, along with her friend Jakket, that had ever happened to her.

Aurora had her blood soaked shirt on, but that was not enough. Her whole body was shivering in the freezing air that surrounded her. Suddenly, thinking about others, she wondered how Shiya was doing, so she quickly took off her backpack to get her Jaguar out of the bag. Hi cutie. She greeted the cat. Shiya had been sleeping and so her response wasn't exactly an intelligent one, more just like a 'Beraahh'. Smiling, Aurora picked Shiya up with both hands and cuddled her against her chest for a moment before grabbing her bag, putting it back on her back, and continuing through the mountain Terran.

She stumbled, she slipped, she tripped, she fell, she did a lot of painful things, and yet she kept going. That was when she ran into Zeke. Long time no see. She thought sarcastically. Zeke had been a pain in the ass the first time they had met, but right now they were on better terms. Of course Aurora didn't like Zeke nearly as much as she liked Jakket, but she still felt something to wards Zeke. She was pretty sure he had gone from the enemy to an ally. Smiling, Aurora waved at him with a shaking hand, she was still shivering. The girl kind of half jumped when she heard the 'echo' run through the mountains. Aurora blinked, she didn't really like that. As she scanned the mountainy landscape, her eyes finally landed on what she was searching for. The girl who had called out. She looked decent, but Aurora was going to wait for the girl to recognize her.

As the freezing, restless kid fidgeted in his position, his joints were even cold enough to creak every time he extended his arms or moved his legs. He winced at the freak-ish sound, clenching his teeth together. But then the sound of quick breathing caught his attention, and he forgot all about this pain. He slowly lifted his head and peeked over the side of the boulder, then quickly recoiled himself as he saw that it was the girl. Finally. He thought as he revealed his arms out of his shirt again. He sat himself up in a squat and placed his hands on the side of the rock before he leaped to his feet and did a banshee scream, but before long he landed right back on his ass. His legs hadn't expected the sudden leap, and had just collapsed under him. But he couldn't help but laugh as he got his wits about him and slowly brought himself up again with a humorous grin over his lips.

"Hahah, I was just playin'."

He said, trying to sound as friendly as he could. But then his eyes caught another form in the distance, lenses fixed on the silhouette and made out that it was none other than Aurora. He raised his eyebrows in surprise as she actually waved to him. Zeke lifted his creaky arm and managed a shaky wave back. What could he say? He was cold.. or maybe it was something else.. Nahh.

"Aurrooorrraaa." He called her out. "Fancy meeting you here, eh?"

And just then, an enormous gust of wind knocked him off his feet. He landed on the edge of the cliff and as Zeke tried to get up again, he slipped off the cliff. His nails dug into the ice as the cold stung his bare hands. He shouted out in pain, shock, and fear. His feet dug into the side of the icy cliff, just barely keeping him up. He hadn't let the fear show in his eyes, he was used to these kinds of situations; but he could use some help this time.

"Uhh.. Yeah, I could use a little help here?"

That silly kid, they must think. But he had to admit that he was silly, restless, daredevil. It was in his nature to get into these kinds of predicaments. He started to dig his feet into the cliff as he tried to walk himself up, he got almost all of his torso above the edge, but he had nothing to hold onto. So, yay, he was stuck there. At least until someone helped him.

Aurora smiled as she noticed Zeke wave back to her. It felt odd really. They were enemies it seemed like not so long ago, and now they were something like friends. Shrugging, Aurora set Shiya on the icy ground and began walking towards him, she would pay attention to the girl later. Her attention was completely on Zeke as she made her way through the dangerous Terran. She didn't like it because it was cold, but it offered her adventure, which was more than she could ask for. Being lost in something as wild as this was a hell of a lot better than being trapped in a smelly city.

Shiya and Aurora made her way to Zeke without much trouble, but as she got close to him, she noticed him slip and fall. She couldn't help but laugh, but she coughed it up, trying to hide it back. However, this didn't stop the light from shining in her eyes, and her smile to light up her face. She had smiled more times since she had made it to Echo than she had for the last 4 years. It was crazy how one place could change something like that.

Her smile vanished however as she watched Zeke tumble over the cliff. Zeke! She screeched. Quick as a flash, she was leaning over the cliff, just making sure he was ok. She was so surprised about how much she had just cared if he had fallen or not. The other day she would have been glad to watch him tumble over the cliff, but this time she felt differently. He had scared her. In relief, she let out a smile as she looked down at Zeke, letting her dark hair fall over her shoulders again. Still falling off of things? She joked lightly as she reached out her hand to him. Aurora looked down at him and met his eyes, she was very surprised that she didn't feel the urge to look away. Gently, she smiled at him as she grabbed his hand and pulled him up to her level. Now they were away from danger.

Paige brought her hands over her arms and shoulders. It was getting very chilly for her and the more the warmth the better. She puffed out some breath, it was slightly noticable, meaning it was really cold. Even her teeth where chattering. Paige reached for her bag at her hip and messed with the contents inside. Her bow and arrow...Some berries that was pretty much it. She felt better though knowing she had her bow and arrow if she ran into any trouble.

Suddenly, a dreadully scary noise reached her. She jumped off the rock in shock falling onto the boy and then quickly rolled off. That was quiet frightening! She got to her feet wobblely abd swiped the dirt off from her body and hauled herself back onto the rock. "Well you surly gave me a fright!" She told him. She preshed her hand againest her bag if the boy tried anything funny she would be armed. "Sorry, about falling on you." She told him shly. That was kinda akward.

Paige cocked her head to the side. Who was this Aurora girl? She turned her body to face another girl. Already she had met two humans. This mountain was more popular then she thought. Atleast shes a girl.. She thought wrly to herself. The two knew each other that was for sure. Her attention turned back to the boy as she heard his shock of pain. What was this boy doing?! Was he trying to kill himself? She stood watching him in shsock for a few moments. "Oh yes, of coures.." She stuterred and she quickly jumped off the rock to the boys aid. Paige grasped his upper arms and pulled him back with all her streangethn. Already he looked like he was getting up. She pulled harder, she didn't want to see him hurt. "I'm Paige." She said as she continued to pull harder and harder.

Then suddenly this Aurora girl was at his side and she manged to pull him up herself. Thanks for the...Help I guess." She said meekly with a smile. Aurora seemed to care about this boy. Hhhhmm did they love each other? Inwardly Paige giggled. That was ceertainly a silly though.

As Aurora and the girl came to his "rescue", Zeke was somewhat surprised to see Aurora so.. scared. As she peered over the cliff and made that little joke on him, he grinned and said,

"Always!"

Zeke grabbed her hand, as their eyes met. His ice blue lenses to her deep chocolate ones. He seemed almost mystified, until his thoughts were crossed by the other girl grabbing his arm. Together, they heaved the boy back safely onto the cliff. He, again, brushed his clothes off, only now he was getting pricked with the sharp ice pieces. He scowled at his ice-covered hands before rubbing them on his jeans. He turned his attention back to the girl who called herself Paige.

"Well hey there, Paige, I'm Zeke and as you can see, I'm a total dumbass."

He said with a smiled, as he held out his hand for nice little handshake, and she took it. And then they each released, now there was an awkward silence; Zeke hated awkward silences. So he decided to break it.

"So what are we doing standing on a mountain freezing to death, hm? I would really like to know."

He laughed at him, but then turned his neck to gaze up at all the mountain that was left to climb before the real peak was reached. Even Zeke thought that was a little too crazy, but falling off a cliff wasn't. Nope, not at all. Taking a quick glance at both of them, noticing just how bad Aurora's head-wound was. He made a face of disgust.

"Girrrlll, you know that's not going to heal very well like that.. right?"

Zeke commented, but nonetheless with a humorous grin. He waited in the silence, but then he got quite bored and decided to start sponteiniously dancing.. and singing. He jumped onto the boulder and started jumping around like a crazy kid with an invisible microphone. It always helped keep his spirits up, even more than hunting.

"Fer sure maybe. Fer sure not. Fer sure eh. Fer sure bombb! Pulled up at a stoplight, did drugs on the dashhboard. Look at the mess we made tonight!"

And it was one of the songs he had stuck in his head, and it was pretty catchy.

"Oh, did I mention that I'm a kid at heart?"

Relief washed through her entire body as the girl came to over to help. Pulling Zeke up was easy thanks, once again, to Aurora's helpful brothers. They really did improve her muscles. She broke her gaze with Zeke as she heard the girl speak her name. So it was Paige. Smiling, Aurora watched as Zeke shook her hand. Well aren't we more friendly now! She pursed her lips at him with sarcasm, his friendly attitude with her yesterday had almost gotten himself killed. Aurora just laughed, not at him, but with him. She liked teasing him, it was a lot of fun. But she had better watch herself, because she had many reasons to be teased just as well as he did. When Zeke had finished shaking Paige's hand, Aurora put out her hand to Paige. I'm Aurora. She was surprised at how she just automatically assumed this girl was friendly. For all Aurora knew, this girl was danger, and yet, it didn't really bother her. She was enjoying herself with her two friends, Zeke and Shiya. Maybe this Paige girl could become a friend too.

Shiya, Aurora's Jaguar didn't seem to like not being introduced. She spat and ran up to Aurora, batting her on the arm. Oh, Aurora giggled, clearly picking up Shiya's signal. This is Shiya, she's my friend I picked up in the rain forest yesterday. She's quite entertaining. Aurora beamed. As if on cue, Shiya tumbled over on to her belly while she attempted to attack a rock. Clearly, the rock had won. Oh yes, your hunting skills are to die for. She teased the cat happily. She loved Shiya. That was when Aurora noticed that Zeke wasn't there anymore. Worried, she quickly looked around her, trying to put her eyes on the dark haired freak she called friend. It would be just like him to tumble over the cliff again. And than she heard his voice behind her.

Turning her head, she saw him dancing and singing up on top of a rock. Smiling, Aurora breathed in relief. She really had to stop worrying about him, it wasn't like it was that big of a deal when he left her. Blinking, she ripped off her blood stained shirt and wrapped it around her head wound. She wasn't going to let it get hurt while she was reckless. Once she was set, she jumped up and followed Zeke on top of the rock. She grabbed his hands on made him stop. You fucking idiot! She laughed. You do that dance like this! And than she broke her hands free and started doing the craziest dance of all. She grabbed her leg, and her head, and started thrusting herself forward and back. The greatest funky dance move of all.

"Well, only .... a 'dumdass' would yell at a complete stranger." She replied with a giggle. She didn't exactly like the word choice that Zekke had choosen. Paige herself was raised in the manner that it was impolite to talk in such a manner. Her mother would always say, ''People judge you on how you talk.'' Well wouldn't her mother be stunned now. But Paige would learn all this 'stuff later on. She was away from her family, she could be her own person now. There where no super models in Echo.

Confusion buzzed in Paige's mind as she heard the new girls words. I wonder what she means by that... She thought. Attention still on the girl, Paige gave her hand out to Aurora. "I like your name." She answered. It was pretty. Then what seemed to be an oversized kitten came into veiw. "Shes so cute!" Paige squealed in delight as she crouched down and rubbed the little Jaguars belly. "I wish I had one." She said with a sigh. Paige was to into Shiya to notice Zekke. Once again, more cursing entered the air, but Shiya was the major thing in Paiges mind. "Do you mind if I pick you up?" She asked the little cub. She curly liked attention. Paige scoopped up the spotted cat and stroked her fur as she walked over to the dancing pair. The really where a piece of work.

Paige wouldn't go up there and dance like that. Only if she was drunk or high that is. She wouldn't look foolish like that, though she didn't mind Zekke and Aurora taking part in it.

Zeke couldn't help but laugh as he noticed Aurora scrambling herself up to the "stage" and show him up. He made a "you wish" face at her, and just shook his head. He lightly touched her arm for her to just pause for a second while his eyes searched to meet hers, he flashed a quick smile before speaking.

"Dayumm, I never pictured you being a partier. But that move, it's like the fucking oldest thing in the book!"

He laughed again, and now we were switching the music from party to screamo, Zeke's personal favorite. He started to sing the first Avenged Sevenfold song that came to his mind, and he also started head banging; flipping his hair back and forth like a wild.. beast thing. But before long, the silly kid got dizzy and light-headed and fell backwards, but not so that he fell off the boulder. He figured it would be a good time for a break. In the midst of all his kind of "partying", he hadn't noticed the sky was now a perfect shade of dark blue dotted with twinkling stars. He made it a game and quickly said,

"First one to find the Big Dipper gets a... uhm.. well, they choose. Ahha."

And keeping his mind on a bunch of other things, he hadn't even noticed the cold; and he really wasn't cold from all the moving around and such. Lenses quickly scanned the sky for the constellation, but he couldn't find it. He furrowed his brows for a split second before he went back and scanned even more thoroughly this time. Where the hell is it!? But then something broke his consentration, it was Shiya and her soft rowling noises. With a smirk, he also just noticed Paige not joining in the fun. Or maybe fun to her was hanging out with cats. He softly chuckled to himself.

"You aren't much of a party girl, are you?"

He asked, joking around a bit. You know how good it feels to push all the problems away and just have a little fun? Well, Zeke always seemed to do that.. only when he was comfortable and.. not hunting. But that's quite irrelevent, now isn't it? He smiled and felt his heart beat, that was once racing, now calm down and rest. He always liked the night time especially out in the cold, it gave a good excuse to "cuddle". Hahah, I don't dare try that with anyone here... He thought to himself, with the way Aurora slapped him yesterday. But that was because he was being an ass, but today she seemed a bit more loosened up. And Paige, well they had just met. He shrugged and layed down on the rock, giving up on the search.

Here she was. On top of a rock, dancing her life away. It was crazy how she never did this back home. It seemed she never had any friends to do this back home, and now, just two days in the wild, and she had met about 4 friends. She had never really had a best friend, but she hoped that Jakket and her would go far. Aurora wanted to tell her everything. Shiya was great and all, but she couldn't answer Aurora's questions, or be the good friend and tell her how much of an idiot she is.

When Zeke grabbed her hand, Aurora blushed. Smiling, she quickly looked away as he jokingly insulted her. Once he began his mush pit dance, she willingly joined it. All though, Aurora sucked at this greatly. She didn't know exactly what she was doing, so she shock her head back and forth really fast. Instead of up and down. She looked like a drooling dog, only not. Laughing in her attempt, she let out a Rawr! She was so crazy, it was almost unbareable.

Shiya jumped out of Paige's hands and growled in response, letting out a shrill high pitched squeal. Aurora laughed, Shiya was going to have to work on that. Once she was done playing, Shiya trotted back over to Paige willingly and rolled onto her tummy, letting Paige tickle her belly. As soon as her hands were in stricking distance though, Shiya lashed out playfully. This kind of play would not hurt Paige at all. Shiya was being affectionate.

Back to Aurora. The 16 year old had stopped dancing, she was laughing too hard. Grabbing her dance partners hand, she pulled him so she was staring up into his eyes. She was closer to him than they had ever been before, it was a bit overwhelming. However, Aurora wasn't stopping it. A magical glint formed in her eye as she gave him a sly smile as she commented, You suck. She broke off laughing, but continued to hold on to him. What was happening to her? The heat was stirring up now.

The sun seemed to have disappeared before Paige's eyes and where replaced by twinkiling stars above. The cold was also getting worse, which was expected. Once the sun went down, much heat and warmth went down with it. She couldn't stay out here all night, she would surly freeze to death. She wondered what Zeke and Aurora's plans where for the night. Would they stay out here in the bitter cold? Paige pushed the frozen thoughts to the back of her mind. Why think about it now? One thing for sure was that she certainly was not going to advance any further up the mountain. As it was, it was already getting dark and she didn't know what stalked the shadows.

Shiya brought Paige back out of her thoughts as the cat jumped out of her arms. It was a little disappointing because she hoped that she could have cuddled more with the feline, and the cat was also keeping her warm. The little cat ad attuide, though it only made her cutier in Paige's eyes. She heard Aurora's laugh. It was a reilf to know that Aurora didn't mind her going all goo goo eyes over her compaion. She smiled as the spotted cat came back to her. She was surprised when a furry paw made contact with her hand as she reached down to pett her. Clever cat.

She continued to play with Shiya though her attention was given back to the human pair. They really where going at that crazy dance they both had. Inwardly, Paige wished she could be up there to. She could have also. She could jump right up there and bust out in a number of crazy dance moves, though she was to embarssed to do such a thing.

"You aren't much of a party girl, are you?" Hit the nail right on the head. She lifted her head to met his gaze. She got to her feet wand walked over to both of them. She couldn't simply hang out and play with Shiya all day. She would appear to be some crazed cat lady now wouldn't she. Her eyes widen slightly as Aurora grabbed Zeke. She saw her stare deep into his eyes, and for a moment, Paige thought she had the guts to kiss the guy right then and there. Aurora certainly seemed capable of doing so.

"I could be," She told Zeke with a glint in her eye. "But I'm not much of a dancer." She cocked her head to the side slightly at his next statement and a michveious smile made its way onto Paige's lips. "I know that you want to cuddle with Shiya, you just don't have the guts. Then who would you snuggle with?" She asked him. He had said Here didn't he? He didn't say 'I don't dare try that with anyone.' That did dismess some of her thought about Zeke and Aurora, though she did know there was something going on she was unaware of.

Whoa, therree. Zeke was taken back a bit as Aurora took his hands with hers and held them. At first he was staring at their hands together, but then his gaze trailed up to meet her gaze, it stirred something inside him.. but what? She smiled, he smiled. It was the perfect love story, but it got more down-to-earth when she simply made a joking comment, "You suck." He couldn't help but laugh, but soft enough as to not disrupt the stillness of the night.

"Yes. Yes I do."

He said in a somewhat hushed tone, but still audible for basicly everyone to hear that was there. With their eyes locked, Zeke locked his fingers with hers. Have you ever been alone in a crowded room, when I'm here with you.. The moment was soon broken when Paige sauntered right on up to their little stage. "I could be.." He cocked his head slightly before breaking the gaze to turn toward Paige.

"Oh yeah? And what, you think we're dancers? Hell, we look like idiots!"

But her upcoming comments are what startled him most, and left the boy who always had something to say.. speechless. But just as quickly the speechlessness had come, it went. And he simply answered,

"Because I definitely love cuddling with cats, you know.. Who I would cuddle with? Just about anyone."

He stuck out his tongue playfully at Paige before slowly turning his head back to Aurora's pretty little eyes. He sighed, contently, before something dark off in the distance caught his attention. It was... wood? He furrowed his eyebrows, as he often did when he was puzzled, he unlocked his fingers and managed to drag himself away from her, suddenly falling cold being away from body heat. As he reached the wood, he picked it up. Surprisingly, it wasn't frozen yet. That made a light-bulb go on in his head. His matches! They were in his bag that he left.. somewhere. Damn. He rushed back with the wood and set it down where he would remember it, somewhere by Shiya.

"Anybody seen my- Found it! Nevermind."

He snatched up his bag and rummaged around through the cloth, random socks, and was being careful of his knife. Finally, after what seemed like endlessly failure, he found the small box and got a match from it. Carelessly dropping his bag, Zeke went back to the wood and bent down on his knees, striking the match against the split wood that would be the inside of the tree it was from. A few failed attempts, and the sparks lit the match. He arranged the few blocks of wood where they should last until early morning. He placed the match inside the little arrangement and watched the flames awaken. He always loved fire, him and his older siblings would always called "pyros".. but that was in the past.

Looking up at Aurora, he gestured for her to come by the fire and get warm. What luck finding non-frozen wood on a mountain...

Aurora was amazed. She closed her eyes and opened them, just to make sure the cold wasn't getting to her and in reality, this wasn't exactly happening. Blinking, she smiled again and slowly pushed her body closer to his, as she felt him play with her fingers. Damn, what had she been missing all these years? Giggling, she lifted her head to look at him, I'm gonna beat you one day. Her voice was light and filled with laughter as she pushed her head against his chest.

Yes, the moment kind of was ruined, but that was alright, it wasn't like Aurora was going to pretend it was the end of the world that he broke his touch away from her, well it was, but Aurora wasn't going to show it. Sighing, she turned to look at the girl she hadn't really gotten to know yet, she looked lonely down their, and she suddenly felt a little bad. But as she looked at how she was playing with Shiya, Aurora was sure the girl was very happy indeed. Turning her attention back to Zeke as she watched him rampage around in the dark. Aurora rolled her eyes, Your gonna slip! She called to him. The teasing relationship between Zeke and her suited her fine. She liked it very much.

Aurora figured out what the boy was doing when he started lighting the fire. Yes, Aurora was very much oblivious and slightly dumb, but that was alright. Smiling, she jumped off the rock that Zeke and her had been dancing on and made her way to the little get together. Aurora sat down on her knees as she waited for Zeke to start the fire. As she was waiting, she flicked Shiya's tail with her fingers. Shiya responded playfully, but really her attention was all for Paige. Aurora was fine with that because she wouldn't really be much fun for Shiya, she was too distracted with Zeke. Sighing, she turned her head to look at his face, he really was hot. She remembered how that was the first thing that had crossed her mind when she had first laid eyes on him.

When the fire was lit, Aurora just smiled and watched, really not expecting what Zeke was about to do. Did he want to cuddle? Aurora replayed all the comments about Cuddling about ten minutes before and began giggling as she made her way over to Zeke. It was indeed freezing, and she was excited to get warm. When she was close to his body, she smiled shyly and sat down next to him. She flipped her knees across his body so she could rest her head against his chest again. Suddenly content, she began watching the images in the fire.

She was warm now, and very content. It had been about an hour of this, she couldn't really tell if Zeke and Paige were talking, she was too exhausted to really think straight. Blinking drowsily, her eyelids began to close, and she snuggled in deeper into his warm body.
