Basic Rules of the Site
1. No Harassing anyone into doing anything. This is rude, disrespectful, and not fun for anyone. If you harass someone into anything, we don't care what, You will be in a lot of trouble. If someone feels uncomfortable with anyone, we will be glad to hear about it and deal with the offender.
Some examples of Harassing
* Annoying someone to post
That is just plain rude. A good post takes time, and when the other player gets impatient, it doesn't help the role player. If you are being hassled multiple times about posting, please report the offending player. As long as the reasons are not due to in-activeness, we will punish the offender.
* Pressuring into following plots
If a group of people are very excited about a plot that they made up and your involved without notice, you don't have to like it. If they are getting angry, because you won't kill off your character for them, just report them. That is not fair and we will gladly punish them for making your stay on Echo less enjoyable.
* Pressure to fall in love.
If you don't want to fall in love with someone, case closed and the other person will have to deal with it. However, if they start harassing you and pressuring you into it, don't hesitate to report them. I swear the admin doesn't bite.
* Auditioning for offspring
If you want somebody's offspring, and you have to audition for it, please do so in an orderly fashion. If you audition for it, and start acting like it's your character now, I don't see why the parents should let you continue to try and get their child. I could definitely see reasoning for disqualifying them. However, if its a new member, why don't we just kindly explain the rules to them, and if they do it again, we shall punish.

2. Plagiarism is a no, no here on Echo. Do not attempt. We have spies all over the internet, and we will track you down!
*** Have you ever gotten something stolen? Have you felt how bad it hurts? It's one thing for someone to steal something out of your house, but it's another thing completely to steal something that you have put time and effort in, and your own ideas into, and to have someone take that away from you by copy and pasting, and claiming it as their own. It hurts. So if we see it, you will get an automatic ban.
*** If we have a Plagiarism problem, let the staff of Echo apologize now and say that we will do everything we can to get back what is yours and frame that player on all our neighboring sites.
-----------------------
3. Staff members here on Echo are working hard everyday to make this site fun, entertaining, and safe for you and your friends. But under that bold name of 'admin' there is a person in there, and that person has feelings. So instead of bashing; lets share the love and really think about why those nice, loving admin sometimes have to bring out their kick ass side. We apologize now for any feelings that we hurt in the future, but an admin has to be tough as well as nice to run a successful site.
* If we get a mob of members from another site that is here to bring justice to us for banning their friend, we will ban you immediately, and forever. You banned members just missed out on a chance to role play here, but too bad.
* If we feel the need, we will ban you. But it would have to be a good reason to ban you without a lot of warnings. If it was a good reason, we would probably ban you forever. But if you just broke a few rules by being careless, we'd only ban you for a few days to get some things together
* Once banned, you had better not be in the cbox bashing about us. That is not fair to us, and is rude and disrespectful to everyone. Members don't want to talk with rule breakers; so stop trying to get them on your side.
* Even with the most frustrating of members, the admin will do our best to keep our cool. If you cross the line though, you are in for something. But keep in mind that we are trying our best.
-------------------
4. Please use your pawn name as your display name.
* It's easiest for everyone if you just go by your pawn's name on this site. So please chose wisely when deciding your pawn's name.
* If you have more than one pawn, you have two options: either use the name of your first pawn created or your main active pawn.
* You do not have to sign up with your username as your pawn name. The reason is because you might want one of your other pawns as your display name, or you want to kill off your first pawn and start over. So just choose some username you usually do and than change your display name to your pawn's name.
* It needs to be your pawn's name. It can't be your mythical creature or your companion animal's name.
-------------------
5. Number of Companions animals/pawn you may have.
* Right now; we have the limit of pawns as 2. If you have been active for days in a row and have made your posts, you are now allowed to create a third pawn. If you are unsure if you apply for a 3rd character, PM me or Zeke.
* We have had some issues with the companion animals. Yes I can see that we have been very confused about the number we allowed to have. So here is what I have decided. Again, how ever many animals you have depends on your activity. You may have up to 5 animals for each pawn you own. Here is how it works:
When you have reached 20 posts; you may go into the companion animal board and apply for your first Animal.
So when can I apply again?
When you reach 60 posts.
And the next time after that will be when you reach 100 posts.
And than 140 posts.
If you haven't caught on, there will be a 40 post difference between each time you pick up your new animal.
What if I have 100 posts and I only have one animal?
You can apply for 2 animals than. Once you reach 60 posts; you don't have to apply right then. Your chance for another animal just not just disappear. If you go to 120 posts before applying for your second animal than heck, apply for 2.
When can I get the companion animal for my second pawn?
*Sigh* I guess we will just have to make it more confusing...
Okay, so you have two characters right? Okay, so when you reach 20 posts, you apply for your first pawn's animal. Then, ten posts after 20 posts (that equals 30.) You can apply for your second pawn's animal. You can get your second Pawn's animal always 10 posts after the original post minimum for your first pawn's animal.
Example:
20 posts (Aurora's Jaguar)
30 posts (Jayke's Fox)
40 posts (Aurora's Monkey)
50 posts (Jayke's next animal)
Make sense? Talk to me if you are confused. I need to make this as clear as possible =]
*** Note: RED rules mean that they are new. If you have been here before and know the rules, just skip to the red rule
----------------------
6. Signatures
* They should not be big enough to stretch the page. That is bad! They should be 500 x 300 because that way they don't take away from the posts.
**Important** NO flashy signatures that change colors. Especially if the colors are hard on the eyes. That is really distracting and doesn't look good.
*To make it easier on you, I'll just go in and remove the signature if you put it up. But don't be lazy because if this happens, I'll definitely keep my eye on you. Because I know now that you're a rule breaker
