-- It was raining cats and dogs outside; but it was nice and safe and dry and warm underneath the roots of the exotic jungle tree. It was large enough to lay down and stretch out your legs, but it was hardly high enough to kneel under. The roots formed a pretty solid wall down the middle though, and another small area was protected by the weather where Sparky's supplies were. Now, she was sitting cross-legged, slightly hunched over as she carved a bow from some teak wood she had gathered previously, before the rain had really started pouring.
-- With long, sleek strokes of the blade she was holding, she curved the unstrung bow to her liking. She carved a few symbols into it, and then made the notches for the bowstring. When she finished she set it aside; she'd need to get the string later. She leaned against a root, bored. She couldn't go outside, she only had one pair of clothes, and it would take eons for them to dry in this muggy place.
-- After a small bit of indesicion, she crawled out of her safe zone, and was almost drenched as soon as she got out. She climbed intp a low branch that was, for the most part, protected by thick leaves, and sat there, dangling her legs down boredly. She wished something interesting would happen, aside from the certain doom she had now placed on her own head. Yep. She'd probably get the flu. Or a cold, or pneumonia. She shivered.
-- As she thought, she imagined all those other pawns, probably snuggled up with their little pets or something. A pang of envy hit her. Why couldn't she be like them? 'Oh, right.' She thought, rolling her eyes. She was too inexperianced for an animal yet, and besides that, it wasn't like she'd found anything interesting. Sure, she'd heard of wolves and cougars in the north, but how original were they? Not very. She wanted something unusual, new, something few people would think to want. Maybe an African lion. Nobody seemed to want thouse giants. 'Exactly,' She thought some more. Nobody wanted them because they were huge, beastly creatures that were clutzier then a newborn baby.
And so, she waited. Impatiently.

Aurora ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Just a boy, just an, ordinary boy, but he was looking to the sky
---------- Making her way back across the lands were harder than Aurry expected. She had her animals along her side; but the distance she had to travel seemed impossible. So why did she always have to travel back to the Rain Forest? Why didn't she try exploring the arctic world. Wait- that was a stupid idea. She'd do that in the summer. It had been a few days since she had last been in the Rain forest. For some reason she felt the urge to go to the Savannah. Aurora was glad she had made the trip across the plains. Now she had her Zebra to hang out with. Damn it, she still didn't have a name for her.
---------- Shiya, the pesky Jaguar that Aurora had found in the Rain forest more than a year ago, was now jumping from tree to tree. She would scrunch up on one limp, and than make a leap of faith to the next one. Aurora rolled her eyes. Shiya would never be a monkey no matter how much she wished. Kovu could be a bit more supportive of the feline; but no. He whisked through the trees like he belonged here. Well, he kind of did. He was born here of course. But Aurora didn't feel bad about taking him, Kovu was happier now than he would have been. He gets to explore around the world with his friends instead of being confined to the forest.
---------- Aurora was leading the zebra with the rope that she had caught her with. She didn't trust the zebra yet and she certainly wouldn't ride the thing until she could at least trust her. She let her hand brush up against the striped animal's mane and weave her fingers through the hair. It felt nice having a large animal around her. She cast a teasing look at her jaguar. Shiya was large; yes, but this zebra was that much larger.
---------- As the group approached the clearing, she heard a few scrabbling noises which made her curious. Picking up the pace, she let Shiya run ahead and investigate while Aurora clicked for Kovu and pulled on the zebra's lead line. When she didn't hear any growls from Shiya; she knew it was safe, and she lead her animals out into the open. It was like a curtain; the dense, wet, forest that the group had grown used to just opened up. Not too much mind you, it was still wet, and it still felt crowded. But not as much. Following Shiya's glance; Aurora looked up to see a girl in a tree. "Er... Hi.." She said with uncertainty in her voice.
---------- "You know... sitting in a tree isn't the greatest idea in weather like this.. You could easily fall out." Ah. The moment she had first met Zeke. Pulling her hands over her stomach; she remembered the moment her baby's father had fallen out of the tree and interrupted her chat with Jakket. Back then she wasn't as close with him as she was now. That long year of nothing had done them some good. With a smile, she clicked again for Kovu and braced herself while the monkey lunged onto her shoulders. When he was happily settled; she turned back to the girl and murmured, "Don't mind the zoo; they're friendly. And I'm Aurora, By the way."
[/blockquote][/blockquote] He said take my hand; 680 words. Live while you can; Aurora playing here Don't you see your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand;I still don't have a name for the zebra.. Maybe Holly?
