Gavin gazed up at the sky. Only because there was nothing better to do. He found the fat drifting clouds very boring and looking at them was only to waste time. He was wasting time. The only thing he could really do was observe his surroundings. It was much different back in London or atleast the area in which he lived in. There where no rolling plains fulled with flowers like here. It was really boring, very very boring.
He grunted in annoyance and dug into his pockets for his knife. Quickly he felt the sharp tip and let the sun shine brightly on the blade. He played with the weapon a little before setting it down. Could someone die of boredom? He let his eyes scan over the many brightly colored flowers. He guessed some of them would soon disappear once the afternoon really hit full point. Probably the little blue and purple ones when hide there petals till the new morning.
He was completely alone. He could see anyone come for miles, atleast in his directions. Of coures he didn't know what was behind him, but he was pretty sure nothing dangerous lurked in the 'scary' and 'frightening' flowers. He had to admit it was kinda pretty here, even though he wasn't exactly a fan of flowers. He wondered if anyone or thing lived out here. He was still unsure how he got here himself.
He picked up his knife again and spotted a nearby morning flower, blue to be exact. He sliced the flower at the stem and held the flower up to his nose. He seemed pretty good. This time he cut a purple morning flower which smelled similar to the first. Soon be had a little botquie of flowers. What am I gonna do with these? He thought to himself as he toyed with another flower still attached to the ground. Maybe I'll give it to a pretty girl. Girls like flowers.... He thought to himself.

It's been but a day since this pretty little girl was planted into the uncharted region of Echo. She, like any other person that roamed these lands, was unsure of why she was here in the first place. But she didn't spend to much time dwelling on that thought, because she had to survive out here without parents that made meals for you. All she had managed so far were a few berries and a small rabbit, which upset her stomach which wasn't used to the strange meat. With a sigh, she let herself be devoured by the sea of colorful flowers. Tainn inhaled deeply, smelling their lovely fragrences. Closing her eyes, she managed to kill some time by napping in the field of flora. Just when the sky was beginning to switch into the darken gear, she woke up to the uncomfortableness of the hard ground. With a groan, she lifted her torso so her arms were straight. She blinked a few times before realizing that she had dozed off.
Rolling over onto her back, Tainn sat up and rubbed her still-sleepy eyes. With her knees bent, she wrapped her arms around them and just gazed up at the orange-ish sky. As much as she already missed the warmth and safety of her home, life out here would be much better. No chores, no one telling her what to do at all. Just her and herself, and anyone she bothered to deal with. I'm getting nowhere with this, she thought as she got to her feet. Dark brown eyes scanned the rolling hills, until her eyes caught an out-of-place figure off in the distance. Squinting her eyes, she got a better picture of a human. Not a girl, that's for sure. She really didn't want to go to him, but did she really have a choice once she moved just one of her feet in that direction? Of course not.
She started off in a brisk walk, which worked for her until she got bored. So she started to skip and swing her hair around, enjoying the freeness of the outdoors. But the gracefullness only lasted a few minutes before she tripped over some kind of stone. She only had time to gasp in shock as she went flying foreward. This was the second time she had fallen since she was here. Groaning again, she got to her feet and decided to stick with walking for now since she was already within yelling distance from him. As she walked, she yelled out in her strong Japanese accent, "Hello!", along with a cute little wave and a friendly smile. Friends were better than enemies these days, especially when you're out in the middle of basicly no where.

Slowly his eye lids began to get a bit more heavey then usual as he began to doze off. It would be nice to take a nap relax and all that. It wasn't all that cold out, it was a good temperture but it was sunny enough for him to not sleep all day. He sighed and rolled onto his back and began to count the clouds. Some people count sheep, he counted clouds. Slowly he began to fall asleep, but that was quickly cut short once he heard a strongly accented voice.
Somewhat annoyed that he had been intrupted he rolled onto his stomache and quickly picked up his head away from the flowers to get a good look at the intruder. A female by the sound of it, though he had never heard that voice before, or anything similar to it. He scanned the field for a few moments then layed eyes on his awaker. Sure enough, it was a girl, and not any English girl that he had ever seen, no. Maybe she was chinesse. He knew little about other contries other then his but he had seen some people walking in the streets that shared her similar look.
She was friendly with the smile that was pasted on her face her hand held in a way. She stood up and gave somewhat of a wave. He pocketed the weapon he had and began walking towards her. She was a little thing, but Gavin wasn't all to tall himself. To bad I forgot the flowers.. He thought amused to himself and let out a humored chuckle. She was kinda cute despite her foreign looks. He had nothing againest her, she just wasn't like him thats all.
He picked up his pace a bit more until he was very very close to the girl. There was a short gap of silence as he shuffled through intros through his head. "Erm, I'm Gavin." He said extending his hand iin welcome. It had been awhile since he had met someone he didn't know, but he guessed now that he was here, in this crazy land that would change quickly. [/blockquote]

Gavin. What a strange name.. She thought randomly to herself. In the world of Tainn, there was more thinking than talking. That's for sure. "Oh, I'm Tainn." She said, mimicking "I'm" from the boy. She didn't know what it meant, but she figured that it was better English than she could speak. It didn't help to learn, right? Right. Briefly scanning the boy from top to bottom, there was an awkward silence. She did not like it when that happened, and she would often say the most random thing. She would always try to get a conversation going.
"You new too?" She asked in her soft voice, cocking her head to one side. Matthias, the boy she had first met, had been new also. So it wasn't uncommon to find people new to this strange, strange place called Echo. It was weird, once she was on a plane for America, and then she ended up here. But she never took too much time wondering about that. For all she knew, she was here.. and she needed to survive somehow. Looking up into his face, she was always the shortest out of whomever she was with. She made a pouting face as she looked down at their feet, just because it was something else to look at rather than making her shortness even more noticable.
Tainn had nearly forgotten the boy's hand held out. Jerking her head up to glance at it, she laughed a little bit. "I sorry. Forgot." She said with a smile, somewhat embarassed of her forgetfulness. She happily shook his hand and then returned it to hold her other wrist behind her back.

Tain. Never had he heard a name like the before. Gavin could only guess it had something to do with her culture, her being Chinese, or Japaness or whatever she was. Her accent wasn't english either, and it seemed kinda hard to put together, some what forced he guessed. But it didn't really matter to much, they where both out of their own elements here, in the same boat. Slowly running out of his thought trail, he realized that a gap of silence had come across them. But, that was kinda expected for him, thats usually what happened when he met new people.
"Oh, yeah." He said, shaking the thoughts from his head, answering her question. He could barely hear her from his own loud thoughts. "Come from Brittian you know." He commented, playing with his weapon in his pocket. If things begin to drop (in conversation) he'd aask where she'd come from, even though he didn't care all that much about it. He glanced up at her to see her experssion, but only saw her pouting, probably from some other random, probably trivial little thing.
"Nahh, its fine." He said. He had even forgotten himself, but her shake was energetic and her smile some what unsteady out of embarassment. Girls seemed to worry about stuipd pointless things. What else was there to talk about now? He decide to resort to his sentence filler. "So where do you come from? Asia or something?" People like it when they can talk about themselves, he once heard, and sense Tainn was a girl, he expected he could be right, but that could be just Brittish girls
