Paige walked shoeless across grassy meadow. It brought her a feeling of freedom, and she especially enjoyed this spot in echo. The Mountains would defiantly have a specail place in her heart, but this place was...Completely different, in a good way of coures. The wind blew her hair, which had grown several inches since she came to echo, she needed a hair cut.
So, with her shoes in one hand, and her bag in the other she flopped down onto the grass. The weather was so much better, and her clothes could actually take what mother nature dished out to it. Her over the shoulder bag jiggled, coming to life and a dark black nose peaked out of it. Paige chuckled, as the snow leopared cub sprinted out of the bag. Ezera. Silly Silly.
She hated that bag so much, but Paige couldn't trust her yet to not run off. It was her nature to wander off, but untill she learned, Paige wasn't going to let Ezera out of her sight, she was her world and nothing would harm her. Oh yeah, she was protective. But there was nothing wrong with that, She had met Ezera in the Snow Angles, motherless and looked hungry and weak. Paige having her major weak spot being animals, certainly cute baby ones caved and took the cub under her arm, or her bag one could say.
She was a handle. She was bossy and bold, but Paige still ssaw her perfect...Just a handle. So now Ezera ran wild in the fields, enjoyiing the first feel of grass under her paws, her unusally long tail waving behind her chasing a butterfly. "Ezera!" Paige called to the cub playfully, getting to her feet to chase after her. Bare-footless the pair raced across the meadow.
No longer need she be envious of Aurora having Shiya, whom she adored, or Zekke with his Polar bear and horse. She had a snow leopard, she couldn't have wished for anything better, Ezera was perfect. My shoes, my bag! She thought. Both where nesscities for her. Shoes kept her feet from getting bloody and bruised, and her bag held her belongs and bow & arrow. She sighed, she'd have to get back to them.

Jayke ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Listen to me now, I need to let you know, you don't have to go in alone. Sometimes you can't make it on your own.
---------- The sun was heaving down on the forest as Jayke made his way through. Every branch he passed, he would press his hand against, feeling the cold bark merge with his fingers. Stupid winter. Why did it always have to ruin everything? Flashing his teeth in his favorite grin, Jay realized it was Echo that was making him hate winter. He had loved winter back at home. Sledding, Skiing? No problem. He loved snow. But here in Echo, where you were fending for yourself, well lets just say winter looks a whole lot more bad ass than it used to.
---------- the 18 year old made his way through the trees until it completely opened up. Sebastian; Jay's loyal fox, looked at the teen with pleading eyes. Rolling his eyes, jay gave the okay for the red fox to run off into the field. Jay took his approach more cautiously out into the open. It wasn't likely there was danger, Sebastian would have warned him, but that didn't mean there was absolutely nothing out here. Half of him wanted there to be something out here. He hadn't made contact with anyone out here in Echo. It would be nice to see someone's face for the first time in about 2 weeks. Sighing, Jay remembered the day he made it through to Echo. It was a charming day for him, NOT.
---------- His little sister Katelyn needed a toy or something and being the oldest and the only one with his driver's license, (Kieran had his permit) he was on toy patrol. Don't get me wrong, Jay loved his little sister to death, but sometimes he didn't like waiting on her. Especially when he had other plans. Parties... Jay got off track with the thought of that new years party he was supposed to go to. But no, his parents were the ones who were going out to the party. And why couldn't Kieran take care of Katelyn? Because he had his wisdom teeth pulled out the day before. Jay let his eyes fall, why be made at his family? It was his fault for getting lost. Pathitic, he knew that. Getting lost on the way to Toys 'R' Us...
---------- Shaking himself, Jay got up and followed his Fox out into the open. He had to blink and put his arm up to shield him from the sunlight. It was bright out here. However you could still feel the ting that winter was here. The snow hadn't begun to fall yet, but it was still freezing out here. Scratching his stubbly face, Jay began to walk through the overgrown meadow. It wasn't long before he caught the voice of a female. Confused, Jay quickly whistled and waited for Sebastian to reappear. Once he had his little fox by his side, Jay made his way over to the voice. It took him only a minute to catch up to her. Before going to say hi, Jay waited silently and watched her run. She was fast. He blinked. And pretty. As his crooked smile flashed out, He raised his hand and yelled, "Hey! Girl- Yeah you. What's up!?"

Ezera ran all speed ahead. She had been trapped in that dingy little bag Paige clung to, and she needed to streach her legs, smell fresh air, just be free. Luckily, she'd soon be to big for the bag and have no worries...As long as Paige didn't hold her in her arms, but she doubted it. She'd be able to over power her anyways, but the leopard wasn't to pleased at how that sounded.
She finally seemed to be tiring out, going at a jogging pace now, much to Paige's relif. She barreled down on the cat, following on the ground in the process with a smile on her lips, and a surprised squel from Ezera. Paige sighed from the chase and for a couple moments stared up at the clouds with Ezera (who was still scrambling in Paige's arms). She heard a heard the rustle of the grass, while Ezera pricked her ears forward.
Both where on alert. She had heard that the meadows weren't all flowers and sunshine, but she payed no attention to it. She was no propped up on her hands scanning the field (Opposing the direction of the unknown lurker, but she didn't know that.) while Ezera flicked her tail, coppying Paige's actions. Then a whistle somehwere nearby. Paige quickly got to her feet, with Ezera by her side.
And then she heard a voice, that belonged to a male that was defiantly unfamilar to her. She turned around to the direction of the voice, Ezera hissed in denfense. She turned her head slightly left then right, she was the only girl her right? She saw the crooked smile on his lips, at least he was friendly. She saw a tuft of red fur by his side, and whatever it was, Ezera could smell it, with bared teeth.
"Come on, it can't be to bad." She whispered to the cub. She should be pleased, Paige thought. I'm actually giviing her some freedom. Begrudgingly, the spotted cat followed at her owners heels as Paige advanced towards the boy. "Hey." She said with an unsure smile. She wasn't great at meeting people, she was actually pretty shy, but since getting to Echo she seemed to have loosen up a little. A little.
She gazed down at the furry animal first. A fox. Awww, she thought to herself. Her compaion didn't didn't feel the exact same way, but she was very intrested with the animal. She switched her attention to the guy. He appeared to be older then her, maybe by a couple years or so. He was cute enough, and tall, but would his appearnces be just as cute as his personailty?

Jayke ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Listen to me now, I need to let you know, you don't have to go in alone. Sometimes you can't make it on your own.
---------- Where'd the sun go? Looking up, Jayke scrounged his fast up in a pissed off mood as he watched the sun move behind the clouds. Well, that's just perfect. Jayke was already beginning to get colder. Moving his hands over his arms, he began vigorously rubbing, trying to get his declining body temperature to scourge back up. Flicking his head back up, his hair tossed back into a sexy look, he looked for the girl again. He wanted to make sure she wasn't freezing. He'd offer her his jacket...
---------- What? No he couldn't offer her his jacket. Than, he would freeze. But that was the gentleman thing to do. Oh well, it didn't even look like she was freezing anyway. Besides she had that warm fuzzy cub to sit on her. But than again, he had his warm fuzzy fox to keep him warm. Ah what ever, why was he even thinking about it. He could just walk away right now and nothing would happen. Shoving his hands into his jean pockets, he hunched his back and began turning the opposite way. He had almost a rejected vibe pouring off of him.
---------- And than he heard her call him. Craning his neck back to the scene, he tore his hands out of his jeans and quickly flipped his hair back with his right hand. That was kind of awkward. She obviously had seen him start to walk away. Shaking his head, he slowly began walking down the slight slant on the ground until he was standing in front of her. With his leg, he absentmindedly began playing with a small rock. His foot found it comforting and it reminded him off his soccer ball. Soccer ball! That was it! With his crooked smile beginning to form, he slipped his pack off of his body and threw it on the ground. Dropping to his knees, Jayke began rumaging through his contents, pushing around his tooth brush, some food here and there, some clothes... Don't ask him how he managed to get his tooth brush. Lets just say he was planning to sneak out to the party after all on new years and was planning ahead for some sex. He wanted his perfect teeth to be absolutely perfect! (He was very cocky about his teeth) He had a change of clothes in the car anyway. You know, for the gym. But whatever, back to the point. With a content grunt, Jayke found the soccer ball he was looking for and pulled it out.
---------- Smiling shyly at the girl in front of him, he murmured, "Would you like to play a game?" He had never been the best with girls. I mean, he had never had trouble catching them for one night stands, but here in echo, it made you think of things in a different perspective. However, if she was wanting to, Ha Ha he'd love to do here. Stop right there Jay. No. With another shy smile, he dropped the ball to his feet and quickly kicked it up into a rainbow over his head. (Soccer move).
