Drip. Drip. Drip. Liquid drops rolled easily off the large, green plants that littered the forest floor. Falling from the pointed edge of the leaf tips, the rain cascaded down to the ground. Big, cup like leaves stretched upward from the forest floor, reaching toward the vain and feeble light. Water pooled in the center of the leaf, each drop that hit it causing a rippling effect. Light streamed through tightly packed trees, aiding to the heat that was already rolling through the Rain Forest. It reflected off the water clinging to the plant life, creating gentle rainbows of light. The dirt of the forest floor was soaked through, becoming muck and mud. Soft fumes wafted all around the area, of wet soil, of animals, of rain.
Bright, blue-green eyes, much like the diluted hue of plants beneath water, scanned the area. A bright smile was stretched across the pale flesh, crinkling the corner of her eyes. A spark seemed to ignite within the depths, causing a twinkle to resonate through. It was her first time being here, and she was loving every second. The wound upon her head had practically faded, though her arm was another story. It didn’t hurt as much, and had begun to heal properly. All thanks to Jay.
Celestial sprinted ahead of Jay and Seb, his little fox. While running along the trail, she could feel the gentle caress of plants upon her flesh. A small giggle escaped her jaws at the tickling feeling of it. Skidding to a halt, kicking up dirt and mud, Cel spun upon her heels to face Jay. ”Oh geez, Jay! It’s so pretty here!” the female squealed softly. Carefully she skipped her way back to the male, full of energy and clearly hyper. Kneeling down, she placed her arms around the fox, scooping him up and planting a kiss upon his head. ”Do you like it here, too, Sebbie?” she crooned, petting his head gently.

Jayke ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Listen to me now, I need to let you know, you don't have to go in alone. Sometimes you can't make it on your own.
---------- Running through a Rain forest wasn't exactly what Jay would call fun. However; chasing after a crush? Well that might just be worth it. His long legs were sprinting as he easily caught up with the girl who had bolted away in the first place. It had been two days since they had met; and Jayke had no plans of separating. The limps of the swaying trees were pissing Jay off as he sprinted over tree roots and shrubs, he could barely see a foot in front of him. However, his girl did not stop; so neither did he.
---------- The day he laid eyes on her, well that couldn't have been a better day. The thought of her in his head made him spin; she was quite cute with that red blush. He would have to get her turn that color again. Of all the possibilities... What could he do? With a smirk on his lips, he brought his run to a stop. He wouldn't do that tonight; that would be a special moment for later.
---------- Taking in his surroundings, he noticed that they were in a small clearing. Very tiny spacing; no extra space in this dense little clearing. However it was a lot better than the path they had just taken to run on. Jay shook his hair, how could they have been so silly? Sebie; the young fox at Jay's feet, let out a sneeze. That was odd, Seb usually never let out more than what his feelings were telling him. Was the envoirnment too dusty for him right here? That would be even weirder for they were in a Rain Forest, and all around the clearing you could hear the patter of droplets.
---------- Bam! Jay took a startled step backwards. What was Cel doing so close to his face? Jay shook himself, that was odd. Cel wasn't even going for Jay. She was much more interested in the little red fox. Seb let out a startled yowl as he was yanked from the ground. Instinct taking over; Jay put out his hand and was about to say, "Wait-" He clamped his mouth on top of his tongue to shut himself up. If Cel wanted to cuddle the little fox, than that was up to her. With a more relaxed smile, Jay said, "I think he likes you". As Cel gave Seb a kiss, the young fox pulled his head back. He didn't like sudden movements, but he wasn't going to scratch the poor thing. Jayke knew that more than anyone for if he was like it, Jay would have ripped him out of Cel's hands before she had a chance to grab him.
---------- Answering the girl's question he murmured, "Well it is pretty..." His gaze traveled up to the canopy level. He heard a single call from what appeared to be a monkey, and sure enough, as he watched, the large animal swung across the vines for Jay to see before disappearing again. Before he could look back down, a large droplet of water hit him in the face. "Damn; but it's so wet!" He exclaimed while throwing a quick fit. When he had control of himself again; he moved over to Cel and wrapped his hands around her neck, holding her close against his body.

The surprised expression that flew across Jay’s face nearly brought forth a small laugh from the femme. Quickly she clamped it back, but couldn’t help the smile widening across her face. The giggles trying to escape almost threatened to choke her, but she was able to dismiss them. It usually took people some time to adjust to her peculiar mood, if they ever did. Celestial was simply a very hyper being, who enjoyed to feel her body moving. It almost pained her to be completely still, if that were ever even possible.
Though she did feel kind of bad for startling Sebbie like that. It had never been her intention to do such. I think he likes you. ”I’m not sure about that.” Cel replied softly, pondering over the statement gently. Especially after the way she had startled the poor boy, and his leaning away from her kiss, she doubted that. ”I think he just tolerates me. But he’s so cuuuttteee!” she squealed again, though softly. She didn’t want to hurt the canine’s ears, after all. Careful to keep her actions slow paced now, Cel allowed her hand to trail up to Sebbie’s head. Gently she twined her fingers through his fur, giving him a gentle hug on top of the massage.
Very gently she bent her frame to place Sebbie on the ground again. Straightening her frame, a soft wind began to trickle through the area. It teased along her face, pushing her hair back gently in waves. With the gentle breeze came a multitude of scents, and Cel allowed her eyes to ease shut, taking it all in. Raising her arms to stand out at her sides, letting the wind ruffle the black clothing that adorned her shape, Cel almost seemed to be embracing the wind. Or perhaps it was embracing her? A tender smile stretched across her face. That was when Jay wrapped his arms around her frame. Easing her eyes open, she tilted her chin to gaze upward, into Jay’s eyes. Slowly her own limbs began to wrap around the man’s frame, fingertips grazing along the rough contour of his body - though all she could really feel was the fabric of his clothing.
A rush of blood began to flow to her cheeks, darkening the pale flesh to a gentle red. A multitude of pictures were streaming through her head, all of them including her being entwined with Jay in some way or other. Her heart was hammering heavily against her chest, blood seeming to speed up its track through her veins. A rush of longing, so foreign to the female, streamed through her frame. Trying to dispel what had come over her, Cel nestled her face against Jay’s hardened chest. But the tender closeness just made it all that stronger. Easing herself back, she stared up at Jay’s face. Her blue-green gaze, full of confusion, swept along this face she had memorized in the two days she’d known him.
Hardly aware of her actions, Cel tipped herself higher off the ground by standing atop her tippy toes. Placing her palms against of Jay’s chest, she balanced herself carefully beside him. Gently her head tilted to the side, jaws splitting open ever so slightly. Her breath was coming so quickly she could barely contain it. Carefully she began to brush her pale lips upon Jay’s own. Deep in the recess of her mind, she feared she was moving too quickly. But would he think the same?

Jayke ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Listen to me now, I need to let you know, you don't have to go in alone. Sometimes you can't make it on your own.
---------- It wasn't the fact that the night had suddenly turned on them that had Jayke in a pissed off mood. It might just be because this was an off day. He felt as if he wanted to scream. But of course he wouldn't piss of, or more likely; scare, Cel. Taking in a harsh breath, he ran through the things in his mind that could have pissed him off. He was cold, tired, and hungry. But he was always like that, so why would it piss him off now? Four fucking months later of being in Echo?
---------- Moving away from Cel, Jayke moved over to the trees and slipped behind a few bushes. Waving away Cel and Seb, he went away and unzipped his pants; taking care of some business. When he was done, he ripped off his shirt and stormed around the outside brinks of the clearing. His actions were probably startling Cel; but he didn't care, he just wanted to think. Besides; Sebie could easily keep the girl company. As long as he played nice. Closing his eyes, Jay begged in a whisper for the fox to keep still, and not make a fuss.
---------- Sebastian took a glance at Jay's horrid face and hissed in disgust. If he was going to have a fucking hissy fit, than don't take it out on Seb. Sheesh. the red fox jumped out of Cel's arms and hit the ground on all fours. His graceful jump left him able to move swiftly, and he quickly strutted in the opposite direction of Jay. He was off to hunt mice if anyone cared.
---------- "Well fuck you asshole!" He screamed at his fox. He wanted him to calm Cel down so she wouldn't freak out when he did. Too fucking late. Glaring at the trees around him; he just flopped down on his ass and sank his head into the dump undergrowth. His breathing was coming in heavy grunts, and he didn't want to talk. About as Cel came over to him, he couldn't just resist her. That would be rude and he would defiantly hurt her feelings. It wasn't her fault he was having a fucked up day. It was just one of those times when you couldn't handle all the shit in your life and you just had to take it out on the world. Besides, it wasn't like they were showing mercy on you in the first place.
---------- Jayke didn't understand what was happening when Cel touched his face. He was trying to control his breathing, he wanted to have a fucking melt down, but he couldn't in front of Cel, so he had to keep his cool. His breathing was picking up again; he knew what was happening. Too soon, too soon. He thought in horror as he picked up on her actions. And yet he didn't pull back. That would have been the mature thing to do; to just stop it right here. But something inside of him wanted to try it. He wanted to see if there was anything for them to pick up on later; but he wasn't in the freaking mood to find out right now. Closing his eyes, he waited for it to be over. She might think he was getting into it; but he wasn't. He was waiting for the moment to be over. As her lips began to touch his, he couldn't resist; it was just a habit. He had to reach his lips up to touch hers and kiss her swiftly back before he pulled away.
---------- Jayke was worried; he felt bad about his actions as he began to pull back from this girl. It was just a swift peck; and yet it meant so much more. Holding such regret on his shoulders, Jay gently pushed Cel away and moved away from her body. "Too soon. Too soon." He whispered.
---------- With an anguished feeling in the pit of his stomach, he slowly began backing away from the scene. His feelings were mixed, but mostly he felt as if he were the biggest asshole on the planet. Closing his eyes, he broke his gaze away from her and forced himself to look forward. Into the night. Grabbing his large bag, he flung it across his back and began walking south of the clearing. He stopped. Taking a U-turn, Jayke moved swiftly back through the clearing and disappeared for about two seconds before returning with his red fluff piss off ball in his arm. With his eyes fixed on the ground; he made his way through the wet surroundings before letting the forest gobble him up. When he had exited the scene and was now in complete forest; he took out his flashlight and switched the nob to on. Now that he could see; he continued his way south.
[/blockquote][/blockquote] I don't need; 950 words. I don't need to hear you say; Jayke's the main man That if we weren't so alike, you'd like me a whole lot more; Um... yeah I was really pissed off when I started this. And than towards the end I cooled down.

Cel allowed her lids to slip shut, then ease open again slowly. Something had taken hold of Jay, almost as if he were a beast that transformed in the night time. The tendrils of sweeping darkness were easing through the forest, casting shadows that danced in each direction. A soft howl of a wolf, crying to its pack mates, penetrated the air. For a fleeting second, Cel gave a start, wondering if her assumption had been correct. But that was silly, Jay was no creature of the night. No beast that took a true shape at night, while retaining a human shape during the day.
Cradling the fox within her arms, Cel allowed her blue-green gaze to follow the retreating form of Jay. Perhaps it was best if he had a little time to his own. The soft waterfall of noise alerted her to what Jay was doing - taking care of the call of the wild. A small, tender smile spread across her face. There was no denying that some pain had lanced throughout her frame when Jay did not return. Instead he stripped his shirt off of his gorgeous body, throwing it aside and began to storm around the small clearing. The femme flinched backward, her grip loosening on Sebbie. Pain brimmed in her eyes, flickering gently in the depths. Had she done something wrong? Upset Jay in some fashion?
When Sebbie gave a hiss, Cel allowed her gaze to trail downward. It would appear as if the foul mood that had seized the male was spreading to his animal counterpart. Easily the fox jumped from her arms, landing gracefully upon the ground. It wasn’t long before his bushy, red tail disappeared through some greenery. When Jay screamed loudly after the retreating frame of his fox, Cel nearly jumped out of her skin. The buzz of insects, the flow of a small brook, the gentle calls of nocturnal animals were the only noises following the outburst. Cel’s eyes had grown huge with shock, and wonder. Just what exactly had overcome them? Part of her could tell that Jay had no desire to be in contact with the human world, but Cel couldn’t resist trying to assist him. To ease his pain and follow the feeling in her heart.
As Cel leaned forward, in hopes of snatching a kiss from Jay, she could hear his own breathing begin to heighten. Her heart did a frantic fluttering in her chest, one second acting as if it would stop, the next threatening to break through the barrier of her body. The alternating degree of her heart rate mimiced the feelings the surged through her. She wanted this, she hoped that Jay wanted it too. But she was scared of where it may lead, of that Jay would not want her. A tingle of electricity sparked through her frame at the gentle contact of their lips. Her own smooth, full, round lips felt almost alive, tingling even after Jay had pulled away. It was swift, a quick peck, but it sent a multitude of feelings flowing through her.
All of these feelings began to tumble down, like a building whose foundation was simply not strong enough to support the heavy layers. Jay gently eased Cel away from his frame, pain flooding over her face. The soft, hurried words of the male did not escape her ears. Too soon, too soon. Tears began to swim in her blue-green depths. She had screwed up, she had taken something so precious, so tender and torn it apart by piling stupid emotions on top of it. It almost felt as if her insides were beginning to be shredded apart by a million different sharp blades. Cel took a step backward, her lips pulling into a frown. Gently a tear began to ease down her cheek, leaving a salty and wet trail in its wake. When Jay stumbled back, himself, and turned to gather up his stuff, Cel could feel her heart shattering in a million different pieces. Had she truly lost this man? Watching his retreating form, a sob was wretched from her chest. Slowly she took a few steps forward, holding her hand out. It wasn’t long before a stream of tears began to flood down her cheeks. ”Jay!” she called out, but it was probably too late. She was alone now, utterly alone. All she could do was stand there, lost and alone, feeling as if she was breaking apart piece by piece.
It wasn’t very long before cold began to set in. She longed to chase after Jay, but she knew if she bothered she would swiftly lose herself. Not that it mattered much, she was utterly lost as it was now. Leaning up against a tree, she allowed her frame to sink to the wet ground, curling her frame up in a little ball. Slowly her eyes began to close, one last tear slipping from them. Make it all just a dream, make it all okay. Make it go back to...normal.
