Cameron ----------------------------------------------------------------------- , You have stolen my heart You have stolen my heart
---------- The sun was slowly climbing into the sky, the clouds beginning to turn from black to colors as the wind began to pick up. The short days of winter were becoming more and more important. Here in Echo; it seemed that if you didn't find time to hunt during the daylight hours, you would most certainly have to sleep on an empty stomach. The dawn was slowly turning into a full blown morning as Cameron Chase began her journey. Nothing of course could have prepared her for walking across these lands in winter, than, well climbing in the mountains. Cam had common sense though. No way in fucking fuck would she be doing that shit. Her steady pace was a breeze for someone at her fitness level, however she felt that she needed to slow down to be able to make it to where ever exactly her destination was.
---------- It was plausible that Cam had no idea in fact where she was going. It seemed she needed to just get away from where she had just been. Ah the meadows, how will she ever forget that day. The warmth, the long grass... And than of course it had to turn ugly after she had met those people and it started snowing. Ugh. Cameron hated snow. It was her own worst nightmare, as was winter. So I guess you could say Cam was throwing a party for the current weather conditions. Not quite as bad as of what could have easily came down from the sky, but rain was pretty much just as bad as snow in Cam's mind. They were both wet, and they were both cold. Blinking angrily while grunting swear words, Cam kept pushing herself further. She never stopped for a break, and she never slowed or sped up her pace. If she was going to reach somewhere, she would get there and be able to breath. Losing your breath in winter is not good. Especially when you are alone in the middle of no where.
---------- As her polka dot Vans kept crunching along on the ground, Cameron allowed some thoughts about Gavin to slip in and take control of her mind. So far she thought he was cute, and well, that he was sweet. She could see his face fill with concern as he looked at the bleeding Liz. As Cam thought of that, she felt her face fall and she couldn't help but let in to her mood. So what if she had a crush on him? It wasn't like she was going to get him. Letting out a dejected sigh, Cameron just kept going without thinking about him again.
---------- With the clouds now completely covering the little sun that Cam had seen through her whole existence in Echo, the 16 year old found herself thinking about the Bear that had run along with the boy Gavin. He seemed Tame, and that made her curious because well, bears were not supposed to be tamed. It was proven in that Diary of Bears show on Animal Planet. It was called something like that, Cam couldn't remember. Anyway, the point was that that man had had bear friends; and then they got really hungry and ate him. This bear seemed like more of a pet than a wild animal. Maybe animals were tame-able in this world. It truly made her curious; she had always wanted a large animal as a pet. Maybe a big lion or something like that. Cam brightened almost immediately at that idea, but that wasn't the right animal for her. She knew she wanted something dangerous and big though. But what about a Cougar? You know, like a Puma, or Mountain Lion.
---------- With all these thoughts about animals, Cam hadn't even noticed that she now was standing in a wide open field. It was still raining, but it seemed so dry. Cam squeezed her eyes almost shut so she could look out onto the moor. It was like a Savannah. With a pleased thought about the big animals that were bound to be here, the girl sat down on her butt right there, and began scanning her surroundings. The few trees that stood saluted in the open stuck out like a metal soon in soup. Moving objects were also near the trees and Cam found herself fascinated with what they could possibly be. She saw them reach for the high leafs on the trees so she was guessing they were giraffes. What a pleasant animal to see. Cam giggled in happiness and continued her safari around the Savannah.

The Savanah. Hot, dry and humid, with tall dry grass that scratched at Gavin's ankle. He liked the fields and flowers part of Echo much better, despite the slight snowfall that occured. Alo didn't like it either here, he could have lived in the Fields and Flowers for the rest of his life with Gavin and be contenet, not wandering around living comofrtablely.
The grizzly grumbled and whimpered as he dragged behind Gavin. He felt sorry for the cub, but it was winter so the heat won't be killer, and not threatening to Alo's living conditions. But he felt guilty for doing what he was doing now. First, taking Alo with him and secondly leaving Liz back their, all wounded and mangled. But honestly, Gavin wasn't at all attractied to the girl what so ever.
He was just playing. Sure, his caring was genuine, but he had no feelings towards her, she was a bit to needy for him, and Gavin was kinda hoping to get into her pants as the only major thing for the both of them. What, he hadn't had sex in a long time, and chances of having it here where low. He didn't want to hurt Liz's feelings, but that was the way he rolled. She was just not his type. But he'd probably see her again, and his sneaky little plan might be pulled off.
And the reason he was most guilty of all was to follow that blonde chick. Something about her, it was as if she was already playing with him, hard to get, but she hadn't said a word. Making it hard for Gavin. It would defeantly be harder to melt this girl's heart compared to Liz. But he didn't want to take advantage of her just yet, he knew nothing about her yet.
And it wasn't customary for Gavin to think so much about girls. Well...He did think a lot about girls, just not one in paritcular. It nerved him, and cost him great lengeths to track her down. Hopefully Echo wouldn't change his perspect of life. Alo hoped that Gavin would take his mind less off girls, and focus more on him, but he to was curious of the blonde girl.
And lucky for Gavin, Alo was willing to track her done for him. His sense of smell was strong, and he might as well put it to good use, Alo could easily become a talented tracker. "I wish we had some sun block buddy." He said to his grizzly. He had no idea what 'Sun block' was, but he guessed it was good for Gavin to want it.
Alo stared to a jogg, catching the blonde's scent. Excitement pricked Gavin and he matched his pace. Sooner or later he found a bobbing head againest the grass. It appeared to be human enough, but Alo had slowed his pace in caution. Gavin payed no attention but adavnaced quickly towards the girl. He was defiantly close enough now for her to hear him.
"Hey Blondie!" He called out to her with a smile. "You left me hanging with that Liz chick, whats up with that? He asked. Feeling more comfortable with the girls famliar scent he stood at attention at Gavin's almost thigh (he was getting HUGE).

Cameron ----------------------------------------------------------------------- , You have stolen my heart You have stolen my heart
---------- The girl pushed herself up from the ground to move toward the trees. Blinking from the sun; she realized it must have stopped raining. With a happy smile, she lifted her head to the sky to take a look at her environment. The light was just barely punching through the darkness, but that was good enough for Cameron. It was better than half rain, half sun, she didn't like any rain. She would pass watching rainbows for sun any day and any time. Cameron obviously was just not fitting in to Echo's climate and weather.
---------- She approached the tree with time to collect her thoughts. She wasn't near any animals right now, but she felt the urge to go pet one. She laughed at that silly though; did she want to get her hand bitten off by a lion? Her thoughts about obtaining a lion crept back in. Damn it! Fuck, why did she have to think about that? Now she would be dead set on a lion. Shaking her head, she bashed it into the tree and growled at herself. It was more like a moaning noise though. Turning her body so she could push her back into the tree, she let her body slide down so she was now sitting on the ground with her body propped up next to the tree's bark. She didn't even care that her shirt was getting dirty.
---------- With a depressed sigh, Cam curled up her knees and hugged them tight to her chest. She wasn't really sure why she was having icky feelings, but her first thought was that it might be because she had seen humans and not one had wanted to have a conversation with her. Pushing her face into her knees, she felt the urge to cry. Why had she been chosen to be here?
---------- After only moments of sulking, she pulled herself together and pushed her head up so she could look around the Savannah once more. The voices inside her grew though; almost bursting out through her. Cam's eyes opened; was she crazy?
---------- And than Gavin was there in front of her. Forcing back a huge smile, Cam looked at him in surprise. Why had he come over this way? Well, if you looked at this scientifically, it was winter, and the Savannah was warmer. Cam didn't like that theory, she liked hers better; He came searching for her. The girl took a look in his eyes and replied to his comment with, "I felt awkward because it seemed like you guys were having a moment there, and I wanted to leave you be. I felt out of place and unwanted. I'm Cameron by the way. You can call me Cam." She added the last 2 sentences with a giggle.
---------- Patting the ground next to her indicating she wanted him to sit, Cam let her eyes lay on Alo. He was so round and fuzzy looking. But didn't bears like him sleep in the winter? Oh well, Cam wasn't really good with science and nature. Echo didn't even seem to follow the normal rules. Looking at Gavin, she said, "You guys fit each other." She was referring to how Alo and Gavin were both large and muscular.

Blondie smiled. At least he was being apperaciated for traveling all the way done here when he could have still been back at his comfortable field. He listened to her and grinned. "Maybe feeling a bit jealous where ya?" He chuckled. He liked the sound of her being jealous of Liz because of him. Two girls fighting over one guy type thing. But there was the possiabilty that she was just out of place among the four of them.
"I think I'll stick to calling you Blondie for now Cam." He said. Nicknames where fun. And she was already a Blondie to him, but that could change. It might. At her welcoming gesture, he too the invite. Walking, though exerted little power could be tiring after walking for some time in the heat. Alo certainly thought so, he flopped down at Gavin's feet, nudging his compaion's hand hoping to be patted.
Tough lucky Big Bear, not gonna happen at this moment. "Why thank you." He said. He could try to decode what she really meant later. For now he would just take it as a complement. "Hey, you from down under? Something like that? I can tell by your accent." He said, starting a conversation. Her voice was familar to him, many people often confused the British and the Aussie's because the accents where so similar.
As he sat their, next to Cameron he thought, Well, this Savanah isn't to bad. Its not blizzarding, the weathers do-able and I'm with a cute chick."
Alo might not like that Gavin was getting used to this climate, but he would listen to Gavin, he was his master in his world. Giving up on trying to begg Gavin for attention, the grizzly bear sat up now on his bum. He was taller than Gavin just sitting by a good few inches, and he wasn't done growing yet. Soon he would tower over humans and many other animals, maybe causing a threat, but for now he was just a friendy teddy bear. And he would probably stay that way for a long time. So now, Alo stared at Cameron. Unsure weather or not to see if she would want to pet him. He inched over towards her. He cautious extened his snout out towards her, sniffing her all the while watching her with willing eyes to see if she'd make an unfriendly move. Confident she was not any more harmless then Gavin, he layed his head on her lap. Now Gavin could be jealous.
