The world of Echo is like Earth, before it was touched by man. Your characters are brought to Echo without warning, and once they are here, the surprises have yet to stop. After a few days of solitude and coming to terms with the fact that they are still in Echo, that this is not a dream, they figure out that the animals here are no ordinary animals. They can be tamed by humans. These animals, known as companion animals, are something of a spirit animal towards your character. Some claim to be able to hear the thoughts of their animals.

There is a reason your character was brought to Echo. Long ago, a being created this world and wanted to watch the lives of his pawns try and survive here. There have been many generations of pawns, but time passes between each set. The God wants to see the struggle, and so he brings teenagers from all over the world to this magical place where they know no one. Five years ago, the being brought six girls and six boys to Echo. They were all fifteen, and have grown up and figured out their place in Echo. They are The Original Twelve, and they have created a monarchy. Staying clear of them is a wise choice, for they want nothing to do with the new pawns who are arriving daily.
