Zeke, as he called himself, seemed to have a bad attitude and needed it changed as soon as possible. He sounded like a pompous arrogant jerk and reminded her of a few lads she had back in France. His looks did nothing for her; In a word he was hott but looks never defined the person she saw. Nor had Jakket ever cared for them. A friend of hers had once asked if she was asexual and ever sense than she just assumed that's what she was.
But Zeke was a real piece of work and really got Jakket's blood pumping. After a moment of letting her mind clear -- which literally was only a moment -- she relaxed her whole body and just smiled at Zeke.
"Of course you are a threat... I mean look at that amazing falling on your ass trick you got," Jakket said; It was indeed a smart ass remark for sure. She often found herself spewing smart ass remarks instead of being angry. Anger was never a friend of hers and her calm, cool, collected thoughts where what she needed when in a tough situation. Jakket thought about saying more -- about who she and Aurora was -- but then she thought better of it as she watched him start to walk off. Jakket hoped in her mind that he would be leaving but instead he went over and started going through Aurora's things.
Even though these things weren't Jakket's, her instinct was to attack him and claim what wasn't his back. Jakket managed to hold herself in her place but she was extremely on edge now as she watched every move he made. She was surprised to see him pick up the shirt and walk back over tossing it in Aurora's face. Then he started to walk off. Jakket set forward a few steps and hissed.
"Where the hell--?!" Jakket hissed under her breath, stopping herself as she looked back to see if Aurora had been alright. Throwing the shirt at her face wasn't a good idea because Jakket knew it could hit the cub and startle her... which could essentially hurt the already hurt Aurora. She took a few steps back to her place towards Aurora.
When Zeke made his way back all Jakket wanted to do was cut a main artery and watch him bleed. She felt extremely angry; over angry. Jakket wondered if she even had a real reason to fight -- Who was she fighting for? She certainly wasn't fighting for herself. Jakket had no reason to fight for her own life. Sometimes she did anyways but this time it was not about her. Who was it about?
« Qui ne l'enfer, il pense qu'il est ? Qui est-il à bidouiller avec nous ? N'est-il pas capable de prendre deux secondes pour voir dans quelle mesure sa tête est poussé jusqu'à son âne ? » Jakket said all this to herself in a harsh whisper, barely audible. Roughly translated Jakket asked herself why he was such a jerk and wondered if he could take a few seconds to see how far up his ass his head was. Although all of it wasn't of matter, not yet at least. Jakket didn't want anything to do with this Zeke -- She didn't like him the second she laid eyes on his sorry carcass when it hit the ground. Now she was even sure he was bad news... Even if he did have a fruit in his hand.

Aurora's eyes flew open at his first outbreak of attitude. Hell was in store for him now. Aurora had a pretty good sense that Jakket was a lot like her, and if this was true, it meant that this guy was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Snorting in rage, she cupped her jaguar closer to her, casting an icy glare at the boy that was sprawled awkwardly in the jungle shrubs. Smirking, she narrowed her eyes. Right now, I'm watching my friend's back, but when she gets older, she'll be watching mine. As in hurting people like YOU. Her anger was suddenly hard to extingush as she looked from boy to Jack.
Huffing out in anger, she watched in disgust as the boy announced himself to be Zeke. She rolled her eyes, they sure didn't have to know, it just made insulting him a hell of a lot easier. Whatever scumbag. Think what you wish. His attitude was really bugging her, they had done nothing except defend themselves. They were in an unfamiliar land, and apparently, anything was possible here. Aurora spat, she was starting to taste blood in her spit. Her wound was starting to bleed again. Fuck this! She hissed angrily, as she set Shiya on the ground before slapping her hand against her forehead. Where had her shirt gone? Stupidly, she realized that she had unwound the thing from her wound and had tossed it where her backpack was.
That was when Zeke had gotten up from where he had fallen from a tree. She couldn't help but snicker now, it had been pretty pethetic of him to pull that off. Aurora watched in annoyance as she saw Zeke head over to her stuff. She didn't process what might be happening until after he started tossing around her things. Fuck you Zeke! Get out of my stuff! She watched in horror as he ignored her and went over to her dagger. Shit! She thought as she imagined what he would do if he got a hold of her one and only weapon.
But than he ended up just taking her shirt. She sighed in relieve for only a moment before her annoyance sprang right out of her as he threw her shirt in her face. It hit her right on her wound, and she screamed in shock and confusion before falling on her ass. She laid there, mystified about what had just happened as Shiya trotted over her to dab at the shirt had appeared to be attacking Aurora. Regaining control, Aurora lifted herself up so she was sitting on the ground as she picked up her cat. No Shiya, attack the big stupid ass hole who has been snooping through my stuff. She couldn't stay mad long as she looked into the cute eyes of Shiya. So Aurora smiled and gently stroked Shiya's pelt before turning her attention back to the stupid idiot who had assulted her with a shirt.
Angrily, she got up off the ground and stood a few inches from his face. Than, she took her shirt and we wrapped it around her head, covering up her wound once again. I can't! She spat at him as he ordered her to put her shirt on. Still glaring, she bared her teeth at him and whipped her hand across his face. Attempting to smack him right on the cheek. Before she could really take in if she had hit him or not however, she fell over on her butt again, right smack in the mud.

Ahaha, this is what I mean when he does things without thinking, and then he ends up getting his ass whooped. Zeke just glanced at each of the girls as they threw their fits and tantrums while he enjoyed his fruit. Not until he was slapped, right on the cheek. It wasn't much, but enough to jolt his head to face the other direction. He took the pain, because it was the consequences for his ways of being an ass.
"Ohmygod, you guys are no fun..."
He said as he slid down the boulder into a position where he was sitting with his knees bent. He leaned his head against the over-sized rock and mumbled something that barely anything could hear, something about why he was in here. how he should be at home, in his room, blasting Avenged Sevenfold and singing and dancing along to it like a freak. He admitted that he shouldn't have acted the way he did, but ti was one of his moods he gets into. So for now he just breathed as the sound of water rushed passed the rocks of the riverbed. He looked back at both of the girls, and the only way he would gain their trust would be to be.. nice. But could he actually be himself? They wouldn't understand him unless he actually had to explain his personality. They would just think he's a bi-polar idiot. Hmm.. I guess I better start somewhere..
"Look...." he said softly, fiddling with his fingers again. "I'm... sorry."
He finally said, and paused. He glanced up at both of them, looking for expression in their faces.. trying to read their thoughts.. but all he saw was anger. Yeah, I fucked up. And noww, I just flushed trust down the drain. He placed his knife down close beside him; trying to think of ways he could possibly help them, maybe help fix that wound of that one girl.. but would she ever let him near her again? I highly doubt it..
"Well.. If you guys are hungry or whatever, I could find you something.. Or if you need help with that.. uh, wound you got there...."
He trailed off, deciding that they wouldn't take his sudden change of mood very well. He rested his elbows on his knees and peeked through his black hair at them, for any reaction at all.

Jakket watched as Aurora changed from let's be friends with her to bitch, please towards Zeke. It sort of made her want to giggle and laugh. But she restrained herself; she also restrained herself from going over and kicking Zeke's ass. But then again, she really didn't have to kick his ass, because Aurora was taking care of it quite well. But Jakket had noticed how the wrap was getting more damp with blood and soon it wouldn't be any good to her. Jakket's heart sank a little and she sighed. Then she watched as Zeke's attitude took a sudden change; he apologized. She felt that it was complete bull shit.
She listened to all the bull shit he had and didn't want to hear about his sob story; They all had a story to tell and the past was the past. They need not dwell on it anymore. They were stuck here -- where ever here was -- and nothing was going to change this now. Jakket was getting ready to chew his ass out -- in english or french she had yet to decide -- when he mentioned food.
"Food?" Jakket mimicked in her french accent with interest. With that in mind her stomach churned in thoughts of food. She looked at Aurora almost waiting for approval -- even though she knew she didn't need it -- to accept this possible offer of food. Whether or not he was telling the truth and being sincere, it really didn't matter right now. Food was food... and Jakket was hungry as ever. She hadn't eaten more than a few fruits she managed to find in the past four days or so.
If Aurora thought it was a decent idea than Jakket was ready to be on edge and go on a hunt for food. Jakket didn't trust Zeke as far as she could throw him -- which Jakket was quite sure that she couldn't even pick him up in the first place. But it was a principle that Jakket had learned on the streets before she came here. Was to take the advantages but trust no one...
Jakket realized she'd basically forgotten everything she'd learn as she looked at Aurora who in a way she did trust to an extent. After all, she had come back when Jakket assumed she wouldn't.

Still angry, Aurora started breathing heavily and loudly. A sad attempt at calming down. Back in the real world, like all kids, she had learned in kindergarten that when you are mad, deep breathing calms you down. She kept sucking in air and letting it go. It was kind of like she was taking her anger out on the air that she trapped inside her mouth for a few moments before hissing it out in disgust. After a few moments, she sat curled up her legs so she could res her head on her knees. Until that movement, she had been lying awkwardly on the Jungle floor with Shiya moving anxiously around her, trying to figure out what was wrong.
That was when realization hit her hard. The three teens in the clearing had so much in common. They were hard, mean, and very fit for the average kind of their species. It was almost like they had been called together here for a reason. Aurora glared at the guy in front of her as he stared intently back at her. What was he playing at, trying to laugh at her for falling on her ass? Wait, no he couldn't. That doosh had just fallen out of a tree, he was in no position to make fun of her fall.
And than he did something Aurora had not been expecting. Was he apologizing? Aurora was a bit taken aback. She wasn't too sure what to think of it. Curious to see her friend's reaction, she turned her eyes on Jakket. She smiled at the pure disgust Jakket seemed to have for him. Aurora blinked, maybe he had only been so feisty because he was so embarrassed that he fell out of that tree. Aurora shrugged, it didn't really matter. He had done damage, and only time was going to let that heal.
And than he mentioned food. Immediately, Aurora's attention was back on the boy. She hadn't really paid much attention to the fruit in his hand. She had been honestly trying not to, she was too hungry to think about food. However, the fumes that rolled off of that lovely juicy treat was almost unbearable. And now he just had to mention it again. But than he spoke of helping them find food. Smiling, Aurora watched her friends reaction and than turned back to Zeke. Really? You would help us? Thanks.. It surprised us how much meaning she had just spoke to him with. It seemed like seconds ago she wanted this boy tied up and tortured. But now, she saw that maybe he was merely confused about what was going on. That was exactly how Aurora felt, and well, she was known to switch moods fast. So here she was going from 'I hate you' to 'thank you so much!'
Breathing out, now relatively calm, Aurora grasped her cat into her arms and stood up. Slowly, so she wouldn't tip over, Aurora made her way shakily to her bag and dagger. Okay, in you go Shiya. She murmured warmly to her Jaguar. Shiya went into the bag this time with less of a fuss, she seemed to be getting used to her current situation. Once her cat was safely in her pack, she swung it around on top of her back. Than, the girl reached out for her dagger and placed it firmly in her right hand. Right, lets go get something to eat. She announced. Her belly was already starting to rumble.
Pursing her lips, she decided to make her move to be friendly, just as Zeke had done to her. Stepping up close to him, she spoke out. Yo. What up? I'm Aurora, and my kitty-cat friend here is Shiya. Her lingo was a bit entertaining to Aurora if you asked me. giggling, she flipped her hair, which had been falling off her shoulders again, back upon her back before pushing her hand which she had been leaning on off the rock so she was back upon her feet. She hadn't even processed the fact until now that she had basically just flashed him completely. Shit.
Come on Jakket, we'll get some food! Aurora called to her friend before leading the way back to the dirt road. Once she and the others had made it to the road she would let Zeke take the lead. She couldn't be sure if she couldn't him as a friend yet, but she knew he wasn't exactly an enemy anymore.

Food? Said one of the girls. He simply nodded and picked himself up, it seemed that they were both looking at the other girl now, waiting for what her response would be. It wasn't long before she had accepted his generous offer. He flashed his pretty hollywood smile, but then she got all ghetto on his ass. He furrowed his eyebrows, then laughed softly.
"Don't do that."
He softened his face and curled his lips into a light, friendly smile. Saying that he was serious, but also met it humorously. And before anything else really happened, they were out standing on the dirt road. He shook his head and just laughed.
"What are we looking for.. Road kill? We gotta find tracks in some of the mud back in their, silly."
He said pointing his thumb back toward the rainforest. As much as he liked to be out of the dense, musty forest, they wouldn't find anything but birds out here. And how were they supposed to kill those with daggers and knives? He looked at both of them before he turned around and headed back into the forest. He'd been here for almost a week now, and new probably a little more about the forest than those girls. So Zeke decided toward the small creek he found the other day, where mud would take up about three feet of the bank. When they reached it, he set his eyes to work searching for any possible tracks. He saw big-cat tracks, even little monkey tracks. But he didn't believe in killing hunters, and monkeys just brought distaste to his tongue. He turned back to face the girls.
"There's nothing close by.. So we have, like, three options? We could go further to try to find more tracks somewhere else, construct a bow and arrow and try to get a good-sized bird, or go forage for fruit and stuff. Whatever you guys wanna do."
He said, sounding almost concerned that they might not be able to get anything by nightfall. He looked up at the canopy of the forest, finding the occasional colors of a parrot fluttering about. But Zeke returned his gaze to the girls, waiting for some kind of answer.

Jakket watched at how quickly Aurora's mood changed towards Zeke. Jakket didn't quite understand why, but in a sense she also understood very well why she did. Where as Aurora had made quite a few ass plants on the ground, Jakket had been standing in her place for the most part. Jakket didn't move from her place but watched every movement closely and carefully. Jakket watched Aurora more than she paid attention to Zeke; Aurora picked up Shiya and struggled over to her bag. Jakket felt this sudden urge to help her but the better sense inside her held her feet firmly in her place. She blinked her eyes and ignored what she wanted, in all honesty, to do.
Jakket listened now as Aurora spoke; Yo. What up? I'm Aurora, and my kitty-cat friend here is Shiya. Aurora was quite content to introduce herself but Jakket said nothing of the sort. She wasn't quite sure about this Zeke yet, and knew that the chances of her every truly liking him would be slim. Jakket watched by as Aurora flirted a little which led in the end to an embarrassing move -- which Jakket had caught. Jakket almost wanted to laugh but in reality it wasn't that funny and Aurora's cheeks were most likely incredibly red now.
Come on Jakket, we'll get some food!; This is what Aurora said to her. Something pulled on Jakket to rush forward and follow like a little puppy dog. But why; Why did Jakket feel like this? She had never been before. Jakket had always been content doing what she did without anyone's consent. Even if she wasn't leading her lads into the most mischievous thing they'd ever done, she was still a hassle to keep in line. Jakket paused for a moment before falling in line somewhat near Zeke. She let Aurora take the lead to this road sense Jakket didn't even know there was a road.
Silly had been the word Zeke used in the last bit of his words as he spoke to Aurora. Zeke had gone from saying Shit to Silly. This amused Jakket in a way; the way he went from such a hard ass to just a general ass. Then as Zeke turned to walk back Jakket stopped in her place. She looked at him like he was completely stupid. But then Jakket realized maybe it was Aurora who she should be looking at like this. But this look of complete dismay disappear in a moment -- almost as if it had never been there -- and she followed after them. She felt as if they had wasted a lot of time just walking from where they had been to the road and now back which was something Jakket made in her personal interest to never do. By wasting time doing this they were loosing daylight hours; Jakket had already spent a few nights here and in reality nothing slept. So this meant that if they were to hunt at night they were to hunt with the hunters. And they could easily become prey.
This became more apparent as they went to the river bank and there was big-cat tracks. And it didn't take a genius to know this. Jakket watched as he looked the tracks in the mud over and then turned back to look at them. Jakket's cold eyes had turned from their silvery-sky blue to a complete shade of gray. This colour almost made her look blind, in a way, but she most certainly wasn't. This time instead of waiting for Aurora to speak of what she wanted to do, Jakket just spoke up.
"Daylight is running short, for today I think fruit will be our meal. Tomorrow we can start early and make these bows and arrows and spend more time looking for meats," Jakket spoke quick and as short as possible. Her thick French accent covered everything she said so the quicker she could speak and be done with it the more time they had to make sure they had heard everything right. Jakket shifted her weight from her right side to her left and then looked from Zeke to Aurora to see what they had to say.

Aurora turned her head back to Zeke, watching him as he followed her to the road. She really wasn't much of a hunter, at all. She had no reason to hunt, she had never been around animals, and she had never really killed anything either. It was a new experience for her. She wasn't sure if she liked the ring to hunting, but if she needed to survive out in here, in this strange world, it might be better to suck it up and hunt rather than starve. Pursing her lips, she stared blindly at the swaying bushes of which she had just been. The quivering green plants brushed back and forth until they spit out Shiya, and than fell still. Cutie. She commented.
Zeke and Jakket soon followed her onto the road. The dirt path was wet from the dampness of the atmosphere and Aurora couldn't help breathing a silent thanks to the god that created this world. Imagine this pathway dusty! Aurora shivered, she didn't want to imagine how uncomfortable that would be. Blinking back her eyes, she let them rest on her friend Jakket. She timidly let a smile, if Zeke was going to be nice, she might as well be nice too. Moving her eyes from friend to foe, she let her chocolate brown eyes meet his ice blue eyes. She couldn't think what was going through her mind, Zeke seemed to block that off as she looked into his eyes. Jolting back, Aurora quickly broke her gaze and moved to pick up Shiya. What the fuck was that?
Aurora rolled her eyes as Zeke started going off on how smart he was with hunting. She needed to tough it up, she didn't want to make him think she liked him. That was certainly not the case. However, she did like him as a friend, for now. If he got cute, Aurora would kick his ass. Again.
I say Fruit sounds good. Really, Aurora would rather go out to hunt. For one, she wanted to see if this Zeke was really as good as he says. And for two, Aurora wanted to start training her playful little Shiya. The Jaguar could bring them big game, as long as she was taught right. Aurora didn't voice her thoughts however because she was starving! And she also didn't want to disagree with Jakket. She liked the way she thought, Jakket was a very smart girl. Aurora only had plans, Jakket had reasons.
Setting Shiya back on the ground, she skipped off back into the jungle, making her way past the clearing where her stuff was. She had remembered seeing a few fruit trees when she had made her way through her before she had met Jakket. With Shiya right on her heels, she began running past the foliage around her, keeping a steady pace until she found what she was looking for. Mango! She exclaimed. Quickly, she picked a random fruit and began eating it. It was only a few seconds before Aurora was spitting out the spits she had just inhaled. That ain't no mango.. She hissed in disgust. Angry and disappointed, Aurora threw the remaining bits of the false Mango on the ground. Take that! She hissed. When she was done talking to fruit, she rolled her eyes at herself and walked over to Jakket before whispering, Zeke had better not be smart about this... or its his face! Feeling a bit better, she put her hand into a fist and slapped it into her other, signaling that she would personally hurt the boy who dare point out her mistakes.

As Jakket voiced her opinion, Aurora just simply agreed with it; probably not having any other better reasons not to. He nodded and followed Aurora as she sauntered back the way they came up, lunging herself at a "mango". He softly laughed as she found out that it wasn't a mango at all. But then she whispered something to her dear friend. Zeke just rolled his eyes and started looking for the fruit that he was eating before. Finding a small cluster of them, he quickly made his way toward them. As tall as he was, he still had stretch up on his tippy-toes to reach them. Their were five of them, so he stuffed them into his bag so when they were finished finding food, they could split it up evenly.
Getting darker by the minute, the night creatures began to come out. And that meant they were mostly hunters. If they didn't get up some kind of shelter soon, they would have a death wish. He turned to face the girls, who were somewhat busy looking for more fruit.
"Does someone want to go set up a camp or something while the other two keep searching for food? Or the other way around? Because if we don't get something set up soon, we're just asking to be killed.."
It was just a suggestion, they could either agree or just wait for all three of them to work together later. But since Zeke tried to control the situation earlier, he quickly learned that he wasn't the leader in the pack now.
"Once again, your choice, guys."
With that, he shrugged and went scouting for berries in the bushes. In a place with only so many choices, it was important to have at least some jump on variety. It wouldn't make anyone happy if they just ate the same thing every single day; but then again, the camp they would make would just be temporary, not permanent. Unless they decided to make a good shelter that could last for weeks or more. But that wasn't his decision to make.

Jakket made no rush to keep up with Aurora and Shiya; She preferred to hang back and let her take the lead. Aurora exclaimed, Mango!, and stopped as she did so. Jakket was able to catch up a bit while she stopped to grab this fruit. Jakket watched as Aurora picked up this imposter mango and bit into it. As soon as Aurora did she regretted it; spitting it out all over the forest floor. Jakket sort of wanted to giggle as she did so realizing that this was not what she had first thought. Jakket remembered doing this a few times when she would come across a fruit -- realizing that this fruit wasn't as tasty nor delicious as it looked. Then she watched as Aurora walked towards her to whisper something;
Zeke had better not be smart about this... or its his face! This surprised Jakket at first at how friendly Aurora was being. Jakket had been reserved in their new found friendship but Aurora was happy to talk and be near Jakket. She watched as Aurora balled up her fist and hit it in her other hand playfully laughing. It made Jakket laugh some too, mostly over the fact that she knew Aurora would happily kick his ass if given the slightest chance.
Or maybe that's just me, Jakket thought to herself snickering silently. It was true; if Jakket was given half the chance she knew she'd happily tear into Zeke. He had just rubbed her the wrong way when they met -- maybe an hour or more ago -- and she wasn't going to let him so easily off the hook like Aurora seemed to do.
Jakket decided that standing around and whispering with Aurora wasn't going to fill any of their empty stomachs, so she pulled away from Aurora and began searching around. Pausing for a moment, Jakket stood still as she looked off into the distance thinking she may have seen something.
Thwap! That was the sound of a good sized fruit hitting Jakket on the head from above. Jakket yelped as it hit her head and then bounced to the ground. Then the sound of a monkey screeching in pure glee came from above the tree that Jakket was standing under. Jakket looked up and shifted her attention to the small monkey above her as one of her hands grabbed her head where the fruit had hit her. The monkey danced on a branch high above her head and laughed at her.
« Ce que le fuck ?! » Jakket yelled up at the monkey. Jakket glared for another minute or so before finding that it was hopeless. She would of climbed the tree to try and to beat the monkey at his own game but he was much to high for her to quickly get to him; not to mention that Jakket was very afraid of heights. She finally sighed and looked down. She rubbed her head and closed her eyes for a moment as she tried to focus. The headache that had been coming on now was full fledged throbbing in her skull. When she opened her eyes she saw the fruit that she had been hit with. She picked it up and shifted it around in her fingers. Then Zeke started to speak again; Does someone want to go set up a camp or something while the other two keep searching for food? Or the other way around? Because if we don't get something set up soon, we're just asking to be killed.
Jakket felt hungry and even as she held the fruit she was tempted to just eat it now instead of waiting. She decided it would be in all of their best interest to let her go and find some sort of shelter. Zeke would be most helpful with his height in trying to get fruits and Aurora hadn't been here very long to know where much of anything was. Jakket hadn't been here as long as Zeke but wasn't so new like Aurora.
"I'll go -- I'm too hungry to stand trying to find food and it will get my mind off it as I try to find us some place to sleep safely. Your height will help us get the fruits high in the trees, Zeke. And Aurora you are very new to the place; you could loose yourself easily. So it'll be in all our best interests if I go. Don't stray to far. You'll know where I am," Jakket said with a wink that was directed towards both Zeke and Aurora but seemed to only point to Aurora. Jakket didn't wait for Aurora or Zeke to speak in protest let along speak. She began to walk away in the direction she had originally come from but slanting off to the east. As she walked, Jakket threw -- not tossed -- the fruit at Zeke. Just like how he had tossed the shirt at Aurora but this was much heavier and would hurt more. But there was one thing that Jakket wasn't -- a total bitch. She threw it at his midriff instead of his head.
Jakket pushed through the brush and was soon out of the sight of Zeke and Aurora. Jakket hoped she had made the right choice for the sake of all of their lives. But either way she had made it and she was off to go find a place to sleep. Jakket wanted her choice to be practical -- A place that was sheltered, near some water, and near food. But most of all Jakket had to make sure it was safe. Many of the places that were already sheltered would be homes of the big cats and other various animals that lurked in the rain forest. Jakket pushed through brush and leaves and branches as she walked along. She sniffed the air for a scent of something -- she didn't know what but she sniffed anyways. Then she paused to listen to the world around her. Many bugs and birds chirped their songs. Jakket wasn't listening for someone near her but instead listening for water running. But there wasn't any sign of running water near. Jakket thought this might also be a good thing, meaning that not many predators would be inhabiting the area.
After deciding that there wasn't any water near she kept on, walking in an eastward direction. Jakket walked on for approximately 10-15 minutes before she found herself eating some hard shit from tripping over a rock. And just her luck -- she made her face plant in some mud. Jakket just laid there for a moment wondering if it was even worth getting up. Eventually Jakket did and wiped a bunch of mud from her face. Then she grabbed her t-shirt and wiped the extra mud from her face the best as she could. She sighed and leaned back on her legs as she looked up into the sky. Daylight hours were getting slim and the sun had already began to disappear.
Jakket got up and winced as she looked at her right leg -- which was the one that had the big rip in the jeans -- and there was a large cut. She winced and looked at her shirt. Both of her shirts, the tank top and now muddy white t-shirt, were too hard for her to rip with just her bare hands. So her cut was going to be left open for now. She figured Aurora or Zeke would let her borrow their dagger to cut some of her shirt to wrap up her wound. She looked at the sky again and debated on whether she should go farther in search of shelter or if she should turn back now to her mates.
After a few more moment of thinking, Jakket decided that it was the best if she head back now -- not just for her sake but for her friends, too. They would have to either come back this way later tonight in search or they would have to make due there. But it wasn't in any of their best interests to be off alone. So she began to make her way back towards where she had left them last.
It took her approximately 25 minutes to find them and she was very glad to see them -- even to see Zeke. Her stomach was empty and was making her feel nacious from how empty it was. She walked with a slight limp and tried not to put a lot of pressure on it because she realized the more steadily she walked the more the wound would bleed. It wasn't really bad but the bleeding wasn't good, and nor was the stinging pain. Jakket felt stupid as she hobbled in view.
"I need a knife," Jakket muttered in an angry tone as she approached them.

Aurora looked to the sky as her friends commented on her little mishap. It wasn't her fault she was too hungry to think. Nah, it wasn't that, she was just too stupid and excited to think. Giggling, she cast a glance at Jakket, hoping for her new friend to return her smile. Instead, Jakket looked pissed. Concerned, Aurora cocked her head, was something troubling her? Turning her head upright, she placed her hand reassuringly on her friends shoulder and rubbed it back and forth comfortingly.
Blinking, Aurora pulled away from Jakket and turned to follow Zeke, casting glances back at Jakket as she walked. However, once the fruit that Zeke had consumed earlier was in her nostrils, she couldn't concentrate anymore. Greedily, she stole one of Zeke's fruits and started looking at it. Seeing Zeke's knife, she took that too, she couldn't really see anything except the fruit in front of her. Licking her lips, she began carving the fruit carefully into tiny bits. Once a nice piece was cut, she plopped it in her mouth. It took her ten minutes to fully eat the fruit.
Aurora was going to offer to help Jakket to make a camp, but she stopped herself. Aurora had never been very handy. Sure she had managed to tie up her brothers, but those two idiots were stupid. Aurora smiled, she had brains, but compared to other people, she fit under the name, dumb. She was only smart compared to her family, and really, that wasn't saying much.
Aurora heard the rustling in the trees almost as soon as Shiya had picked it up. Her ears were strained toward the noise as she tried to figure out where the sound was coming from. Plunk! Aurora watched in disbelieve as she watched the monkey throw something at Jakket. Hey bastard! Come back and take your punishment like a man! She cried. The monkey roared in hoots and hollers as it laughed at Jakket. Aurora angrily snorted. Shiya seemed to have had enough to. Sneakily, the young cat climbed the tree with great ease as Aurora just stood there dumbfounded. She watched her cat stalk the unaware monkey (It had it's complete attention on Jakket, it was paying attention to Shiya) Aurora's eyes flew open as Shiya flung herself at the monkey, making them both fall out of the tree. They hit the floor with a thud. Scared out of her mind, Aurora rushed forward, preparing herself for the worst. But when she appeared at her friend's side, she saw no sign of injury, just a happy smile. Aurora scuffed the cat on the head, Don't do that. The monkey was still lying stiff on the ground. Had Shiya killed it? Nah, the animal was still breathing. Hesitantly, Aurora looked at Zeke, signaling for him to take care of the meat. She had no interest in taking an animal's life.
When Jakket was gone, Aurora turned her attention to Zeke. Carefully, she handed him his knife back, keeping the blade pointed at herself. She had seen this exchange in movies, she figured out by herself that this was considered polite. This exchange also gave her a reason to look into his eyes. She liked his eyes, they were so.. blue. Smiling, she started blushing again and looked at the ground. So... She murmured, kind of awkwardly. You've been living out here all alone, for like a week? Aurora blinked, this was only her first day here. Out of all her friends, she had been her the least amount of time.

As much as Zeke tried to keep the fruit from Aurora, she had to stick her greedy little fingers into everything, hadn't she? And then she turned into a little thief, stealing his knife. He tried playfully fought back, but of course she ended up getting it anyway. He stuck his tongue out as he feasted on it. When Jakket started to say something, he looked at her with his piercing eyes. She decided to go off alone in search for shelter, or at least some good place to set it up. Without any arguing, Zeke nodded his head and then started eyeballing the fruit. Oh, what the hell. He grabbed one of the fruits and took his knife back from Aurora and sliced it open, cutting little pieces like he had the first two times. It didn't take long to gulp the entire fruit down.
Without a clue, the silly kid looked up at the curious Shiya and searched for what she was fixed on. It was a monkey, the one that had thrown the piece of fruit at Jakket. Before he could get to his feet, Shiya was already up the tree and on the monkey. Zeke watched in disbelief as both of them fell to the ground with a harsh landing. He winced, remembering how it had felt falling from a tree. Having noticed Aurora's signal to get his butt over there, he strided over and took the knife she had picked up from when he was finished with his little meal. Figuring out which technique to use to kill this animal, Zeke crouched down, resting his hands over the monkeys eyes he mumbled a thanks and slit it's innocent little throat. Lifting his hand, he saw the life drain from the poor things eyes.
"Well.. We have meat now."
He said with a smile as he looked up at Aurora, trying to sound cheery. Carefully, he picked up the lifeless body to keep it out of Shiya's reach; just in case the little devil tried to steal it. She'll get her share when we get ours.. He thought has he perched the body onto a branch where he could watch it if anything decided to sneak to it. He got back to his foraging when Aurora decided to strike up conversation.
"Mhm, and a lonely week it has been. But I've learned a lot of the ways of the forest, which is where I've been living since I got here.."
He trailed off as he found some good-looking berries, he gathered them up and tossed them into his bag with the rest of the fruit he had found. Just then, Jakket came limping back to the scene. He looked at her leg, that was clearly bleeding, then back at her grim-looking face. I need a knife.. Almost on cue, he grabbed his knife from the ground and handed it to her.
"Are you sure you don't just want some cloth for that?"
He asked, not trying to sound like a push-over.

"That's what I need the knife for," Jakket muttered taking the knife quickly from Zeke. She paused for a moment as she pondered over whether or not to cut her muddy shirt or her tank top. Finally she decided and took off her muddy shirt. She plopped her happy ass on the ground and cut a long and wide strip from the less muddy part of her shirt. This caused her to cut it completely in half so it wasn't too wearable now. But it would come in handy with other cuts that the three might find themselves getting. Jakket then stumbled up to her feet, a grim look across her face as she did so. She walked without a limp now -- deciding that it wasn't worth limping anymore -- and walked to were the water was. She dipped the strip in the water and than run out the extra water on her wound to wash it out. It hurt when she had to touch it to wash it out but she ignored it. Then she took the strip and began to wrap it around her leg; she got it around twice before she had to stop and pull it tightly together before tying it.
Jakket got back up and turned towards where Zeke and Aurora were. She looked at them, her look was grim and unhappy. She sighed and then coughed a bit and let out a huff before she decided to speak again.
"Food?" Jakket asked her stomach twisting and her head throbbing. "I'm starving," Jakket said and she literally was; her stomach was eating itself from the inside out. Food was vital for her small figure. She could tell that the two had eaten something without her. It somewhat offended her -- in some distant way she didn't understand -- but she ignored it as she grabbed at a fruit in Zeke's bag. She also managed to grab a few berries and she shoved those in her mouth quickly as she plopped herself back on the ground with a grunt. Jakket still had Zeke's knife and as she chewed on the berries she cut into the fruit. It took her most of the time to just cut into the fruit considering she was hungry and frustrated, but as soon as she got through the cutting the fruit was gone in an instant. Then once she felt a little more satisfied she looked up at Zeke and Aurora.
"I couldn't find anything, I got frustrated and ended up hurting my knee," Jakket began to explain as she motioned towards her knee with her hand. "We can either go out again in search tonight, or make due here... I suggest here," Jakket said trying to clear her mind and be senisble. Her head was throbbing and she had to press her hand against her head. She sighed and looked at them. "I'm not up to searching anymore. And in the dark? Not a wise idea, mates."
Jakket's head was throbbing and it was really messing with her. Her clear thoughts that normally came to her took minutes to filter through the pain. Jakket wanted to curl up and just fall asleep now, despite her still hungry stomach. After a few more moments she grunted and got to her feet. She brushed herself off and looked at Zeke and Aurora again, waiting for them to speak now.

Oh god, what happened? She would of asked, Are you hurt? Or are you okay? But Aurora could tell that Jakket was a bit snappy at the moment, and it was plain clear that she was hurt. So why not cut to the chase and ask, what happened? Blinking, Aurora swiped her wet hands on her cargo pants and approached her friend. She put a hand on her shoulder again and bent over to examine the cut, it looked kind of bad.
Wincing, Aurora thought of her own wound under her bloody shirt. Looking at Jakket, Aurora noticed how Muddy Jakket's shirt was. Aurora blinked, her shirt wasn't muddy, just bloody. Rolling her eyes, she looked at Zeke. How could a boy like him not get turned on with her shirt less right there? Smirking, she thought it was probably because Aurora was such a pain in the ass. Giggling, she leaned back over, placing her hands on her knees. Her cleavage was a bit revealing right there, but there was a hell of a lot better things to be worrying about.
After Jakket had taken care of her wound as best she could, Aurora turned to Zeke. Let's make a fire, than roast that thing over there. She didn't like thinking of it as an animal, that would just make her sad. She had just helped out in the killing of on animal. Shrugging, she remembered it was either have hurt feelings, or starve to death. Sitting down on the forest floor, Aurora looked at Zeke expectantly. Aurora sure had no idea how to start a fire, so she waited for Zeke to do it. Smiling, she turned to Shiya and picked her up. The Jaguar had done more than good today, and for that Aurora was thankful.
Placing the cat back on the ground, Aurora got up and walked over to the monkey. She stared at it for a few moments, thinking about what to do. With Zeke on fire duty (according to Aurora), she knew she had better take part in something. Crossing her arms, she figured she was on cleaning the meat duty. Letting out an, UG! Aurora went to grab her dagger. She made her way swiftly to back to her stuff. Jakket's blood trial had done some good. Shiya was there too, so Aurora was confident she wouldn't get lost, even in the pitch black. When she made it back to her bag, she snatched up her things and piled them inside. Turning to Shiya she murmured, Don't worry, I'll feed you soon. And with that statement, she made her way back to her two human friends.
She threw her stuff next to Zeke's carelessly before turning her attention the dead primate. Grunting, she took her dagger and began slicing the hair off of the carcass. She felt icky inside, this was not good. She could see the face of the animal as she tore it apart, and she began blinking back tears. What was happening to her? She had never felt any sort of connections with animals before today? However, she had never had a chance to be with an animal before this..
When her job was done, she picked up the meat and turned towards Zeke. Tears were sliding down her face as she handed it to Zeke. When the meat was out of her hands, she begged to the sky that Zeke wouldn't make fun of her. This had been an emotional day for her..

"That's what I need the knife for." Said Jakket's sharp voice. Zeke made a face at her, but knew it wouldn't be a good idea to pick a bitchfight with anyone at the moment. He was just better off doing what he was told than anything. He just went back to.. find something to do. But just then, Aurora suggested a fire. That lightened up his eyes and he got to it quick. Feeling for his bag in the dark, he grabbed it open and searched for his matches. Pulling the little box of them out, he took one and let the box fall back into the bag before he closed it. But you know how smart Zeke is, he forgot to gather the wood first.
Scowling at his stupidity in a live or die situation like this, he kept the little stick of wood in his mouth and started snapping some of the thicker twigs that he could find, then grabbing some of the dry grass he noticed out near the road, he hadn't had any trouble finding his way back though. He cleared the forest floor until there was only soil on the ground, he placed some stones around the outer edges to keep the fire contained. Then he arranged the wood accordingly before he struck his match against some of the raw parts of the twigs, and almost magically, the fire was awakened and was spitting and crackling in anger.
He smiled at it's fury, and was completely oblivious to what everyone else was doing. When Aurora came over with the skin primate in her hands, he took it while he looked up to her face. He dropped the meat and stood himself up, somehwat confused. But he knew enough that she probably didn't enjoy skinning an animal. He slowly started to wrap his arms around her ribs, waiting to see if she wanted the comfort or not.
"Aurora, it's alright. Stay strong.. Where's that tough girl I met not too long ago?"
He said reasurringly, and trying to get the situation cheered up quick. Hearing Jakket's voice behind him, he craned his neck so he could hear her better. She hadn't found a place to sleep for the night, so they would probably just have to stick it out here.
"I think we're gonna stay here for the night, we'll get a jump on a better place and a bit more hunting tomorrow."
He knew they weren't going to get much sleep tonight, it has been quite a big day; meeting two people they hadn't ever known before brought together in one place.
