Information //
The companion animals are the wild animals in the wilderness that you might be able to catch and keep for yourself. These animals are wild though, and most definitely will put up a challenge for you. You get to come across your first companion animal when you reach 20 posts on Echo. It's so short because really, it’s more fun with a companion animal. But everyone needs to suffer at the beginning, so that’s why we have a post minimum in the first place.
*Update* Once you have 20 posts, make a thread telling us about your character. One of the admins will give you an animal on this board. You than are free to go catch your animal and go on your merry way.
If you neglect your animal, and don't train it, yes it will run away. If the staff feels you aren't doing your job, the admin will role-play your character running away from you. Once this happens, you will never see that animal again, however, you will soon find yourself with a new animal. You won't be in trouble for neglecting your animal, it's all fun and games here, and how you chose to play is up to you.

Companion Animals
** You will find different animals in different places. Don't go to the beach hoping for a wolf and when you get an Orca you are mad. Use common sense.
** [2009 update] ** Animals are listed in Board Categories. If it is listed in one of the boards that means that that is where you will be able to catch it. And no where else. Don't go into the rain forest hoping for an Orca. Use common sense!

BOARDS
Arctic - The mountains don't have to be snowy; they can just be mountain ranges. But the arctic would be like our north pole. We would have Narwalls, Arctic Foxes, Arctic Hares, and much more. Polar bears would live here too.
